I'm not a Eubank fan whatsoever but for the first 5 minutes I thought he came across as quite down to earth... then comes the second segment where he's house hunting... smh
and groves analysis of the Yildrim fight at the end is pretty spot on, I'm sure he won't allow Jr to be anywhere near as comfortable as that
I thought that, too. He’s so right about Eubank ‘throwing from the ankles’. He’s brilliant on the inside, so strong & fast. Groves will have to avoid getting manoeuvred into the corners which with his size and strength advantages, he should be able to nullify him by tying him up. I’m very confident of a Groves win.
Hang on, so one has to register to buy the PPV? They are really going to have it that on fight night people cant just use there remote to purchase the PPV? That's incredibly stupid!!
It's the casuals buying the hype and putting money on it, same happened when loads of casuals lumped money on Groves to beat Froch during their second fight when in reality Froch should have been around 1/4 on. I will be very surprised if Groves doesn't beat Eubank.
As it gets closer I'm favouring GG more and more. Both styles will merge however and I do expect a barn stormer, both stylistic nightmares for one another but I just feel Groves' natural size, power and top level experience will get him through. Not sure if I'm confident enough for a flutter though !
I aint gonna lie I cannot decide who will win. GG is genuinely very confident of winning. Am I right in saying that GG actually chose to have Eubank before the final ? As in he could have decided to have the draw put him and Eubank in the final rather than meeting in the semi's? Groves is the cuter and smarter boxer, however Eubank does have a far better engine than GG. Eubank has a very good chin also then again so did Froch. To start with I just assumed that Groves ring IQ would be too much for Eubank. However the to beat GG you need a chin and a good engine. The only guys to beat Groves had these and that is two of Eubanks best attributes. So now I am just really looking forward to it. I really love fights that I cannot call the winner of. Would prefer GG to win though due to the shenanigans Eubank pulled at Middleweight
My only concern for Groves is keeping up with Eubank's output but I do feel Groves will cut Eubank's usual high output number.
I think Eubank will win this..will be a close fight though, im a fan of both fighter's but would like to see Eubank winning this.
Since this is my first contribution I am going to keep it short. What evidence is there that Eubank's chin is as good as Froch's was? Eubank has not faced the level of opposition Froch not only survived but also defeated, before he faced Groves. Groves might very well floor Eubanks with one punch and he possesses the precision, power and experience to do so. Froch, in my opinion, against GG was the stronger, harder, tougher fighter, whilst Eubank will be the physically fitter one, which is not the same. First GG vs Froch fight, whilst I rooted for Froch, was ended prematurely and, if I remember correctly, GG was hit hard in the back of the head (unintentionally) before he deteriorated. Bottomline: with good counter punching and lateral movement GG is going to win this fight. Eubank might edge it because of his volume punching and the powers that be in boxing want him to be the next superstar. I know I am going out on a limp here.
He knew that picking Cox would mean having to fight Junior in the semis mate. It’s the logical choice in that he could reach the final without actually fighting a natural 168 on the way.
There is a point in every Groves fight where he looks exhausted, ragged, and is going life and death with his opponent. I just think Eubank is the wrong person for him. Five million uppercuts and the referee steps in, is my prediction.
Yep I agree, both are very entertaining to watch. I wish either had fought DeGale before he handed over his belt, always feels unsatisfactory when two fighters you really enjoy watching have to scrap eachother.
