It was actually more to do with weight-making issues, fasting etc. He'd look incredible in the public sparring sessions with Errol Christie and Chris Pyatt two weeks before his fights. Really sharp, weight on the front foot and terrific combinations, round after round. Come fight night he was just a different fighter. It was odd to say the least. He was 12st 10 the week before this Fight nothing changed . His sparring was intense, a young Dean Francis and Corny Carr were Bashing Him up everyday.
Yeah Eubank always left himself open in sparring by throwing lots of hard leather himself. His thing was taking blows well!
