Jermall Charlo hasn't a single major win at 160. Unless you want to count Trout and Korobov as major. And as stated, CEj is at 168 w/ a belt. He's not going to go down to 160...

 

Belts matter to the fighters douchebag. Regardless of what fans think of them.

 

In this modern age...it's hard to know or define what 'natural' means IMO. I think we hit a base line with Lemieux ending up in hospital trying to make MW; so above that, with pre-day way ins and other forms of rehydrating and energising before the fight--what the hell is 'natural'? Not aimed at you dance-just typing out loud and I don't pretend it's an original thought either. Quizzical or rhetorical....what the hell constitutes natural these days?

 

And if he does go down next what does that say about your prediction about him not going down

 

Agreed. Even if I knew it was meaningless...imagine your family, who don't know the sport very well, being impressed with the belt at ringside..then at home-showing neighbours you won the IBO belt. It would make them proud and happy and gain local goodwill. Wouldn't bother me as a fighter knowing it's real value. Let friends and family wallow in pride.

 

Agreed the other belts weren't seen as legit at one point but now they are champion is a champion

 

Just an FYI, my doubts that this will happen aside, would be a good bout. I just don't think Charlo is going to move up anytime soon, nor will Jr move down. Unless it's for a Canelo bout that is.
