I'm American, and I don't go along with the creator of this thread at all. In fact , his agenda has nothing to do with boxing, only nationality, and whatever else is on his "mind".
Plenty of people here boo our Anthem as well.
The Hopkins -Calzaghe fight is a good interesting match up, may the best man win. But they both are great fighters no matter the result. Thats why all the trash talk is so lame, and unneccesary.

Your posts just reveals your great knowledge about today's pro boxing, mate!

    Next hype job Arthur Abraham,eh.
Go and buy some tapes of his fights! Or have a look at youtube!

You must fight in the USA to receive your proper recognition,eh!
The German box market is getting bigger and bigger, and so are the fight purses there.
Quite a handful American promoters tried to sign up Povetkin when he had the intention to turn pro. However,a German promoter got the nod.
Today's heavies earn more money in Germany than in the USA.
Lots of American heavies try to get a contract with one of the German promoters(for example McCline).Sultan vs Wlad would have been sold out within hours. As you may know you could still get hold of some tickets in New York's Madison Square Garden when the fight began.
The USA for sure has lost its dominance over the pro game and its fighters.

:DWhy the hell do you complain about Hatton's supporters? Or about the Brits?
You ,too, have tried to belittle Calzaghe and Hatton and denegrate their records!
Whoever kills with a knife shouldnt complain about the knife in his back!

Yeah you cant be great unless you fight in the USA , mainly because the US are so ( generally ) blinkered it cant see , hear or appreciate anything happening away from there homeland.

The world is bigger then the USA , good things can and will happen else where. Everyone ultimatley respects the US boxers , why cant the US return the sentiment. Its not often a US champ leaves the US to fight is it.

No, that's correct. They don't feel they have to leave their country because they are world champs. Well it's the same for Calzaghe who's been a world champ forever. He probably feels he shouldn't have to go chasing bums around America just to build himself into a celebrity. I admire the fact that he's stuck to his guns and done things his own way, even if it has come slightly later than it should have.
