big-time skills, why don't you **** off. As if USA hasn't had an over-hyped fighter before, does Lacy, Pavlik, Taylor and Winky Wright ring a bell? Oh yeah, those ****s are still fighting. Calzaghe is going to hand Hopkins ass to him, although I must say Hopkins is a great fighter, but past it and will not beat Calzaghe. And why are you so botherd that your national anthem was booed? When the British anthem is booed I'm not botherd, I join in most of the time, it's ****.

what a dumb ass ****ing thread with nothing more than banal nationalism coming through.

i never understand this ... how was ricky hatton exposed exactly?he was beaten by the p4p no.1 in the world and was underdog in the fight.he also fought in america, ehadling 3 times before that fight, but i guess you would avoid that.

can we not just say leave the petty squabbles behind and agree that joe calzaghe and bernard hopkins are both great fighters, and although both fighters have questions over their reigns of greatness both will go down as major contributors to the sport of boxing in the late 20 C and early 21st C.

I, as an American would like to appologize to any offended Brits by this dumb **** of a thread. As is always pointed out on ESB you can't paint us all with one wide brush.

These types of threads are getting really old, and you guys have to admit that even though this one was started by an American, it goes both ways and Brits have started a plenty too. (Does that dumb**** Arran come to mind?? And has he ever even posted a boxing comment, only some horse **** about hating America?)

We just need to chill with this US vs UK dumb****.

Who the **** are you to apologize for anything, STFU, this has nothing to do with the US vs UK..........

This has something to do with the fact that you have to FIGHT here to be recognized as being great........Take your punk ass over there then, we don't need ya...

If your through kissing ASS, my post CLEARLY STATES that ALL great "foreingn, NON US fighters", have ALL come over here and became great by fighting great fighters from around the WORLD..

Why don't you **** OFF, who the **** are you.....

Yeah, we have overrated fighters, but we have TONS of great fighters, can you ****ing say that....I didn't think so, that's why you CLING to each and every fighter of consequence like their dick is in your mouth...

For the record I don't even particularly like Hopkins or Mayweather as fighters, but I can tell you that when them "****s" started being "disrespectful" and booing our anthem, ALOT of people switched allegiances to Floyd......

Im a Brit, and I think its disgustig how easy we pour accolades on our over hyped products. eg Calzaghe (not beaten 1 P4P) fighter and hes mad 20 title defences most with FRANK WARRENS belt WBO.

AMIR KHAN is another, a millionare before hes even a european champ.

Were the only country that does that.

99% of brits are mugs and im not one of them.

Maybe you only read the first part of my post CORN HOLE. The second part of it is blasting on them for doing the same **** in reverse.

I have said myself on numerous occasions that fighters need to come to the USA for big fights, and what most of the time gets missed by the UK guys, like that dumb **** Arran, is that a huge percentage of the fighters we love and enjoy in the USA ARE NOT from the USA (Miranda, S. Peter, the Klits, Cotto, tons of Mexicans, god damn I could go on forever).

Now unlike your ignorant ****ing ass who's posts I always read and had enjoyed up until that last "fine" effort of yours, have taken note that there are some really good and fair posters from the UK (PlugInBabies, Sean, JC, and many more) and we can find much to agree on.

Lastly, **** you ignorant **** sucker.

The only reason people go to the US to fight is because the TV companies over there throw so much money at the fights, who's the fool the country who makes the 'hypejob' or the country that pays for the 'hypejob' to go fight there.

JC might not have the greatest record ever but has been a world champion for 10 years which should gain respect in itself for staying motivated even in the **** mandatories agains crap fighters, now he's unified the titles beat the 'new Mike Tyson' easily. You can call Lacy overrated but a lot of respected people in the boxing world picked him over Calzaghe.

Ricky Hatton sells every seat in any arena he fights in and has millions of people tune in each time to watch his fights down to his all out exciting style, he loses to the super talented p4p number one and all of a sudden he's over hyped? He's currently the most popular fighter in boxing and although he may not have the most polished skills in the world the only fight he's lost too is without a doubt going to go down as an ATG.

The fact the USA has/has had more world champions is sheerly down to the fact you have such a greater population than most countries interested in boxing, Britains population of around 60 million has done well to have people on top of their divisions such as JC, Ricky Hatton, David Haye, Junior Witter, Clinton Woods all at the same time and have such fantastic amateurs coming through like Frankie Gavin the current amateur lightweight world champion. British boxing is on the up as it is throughout Europe especially Germany.

Lastly if you nationalist yanks look at your countrys heritage you'll realise that going back to your familys roots and there isn't many native Americans about and originally your families are from all over the world.
