Yes - surprised at his loss to Joyce. Though I think he could have outboxed if he didn't gas and start to trade.

joyce is an athletic beast, i think filip wasnt prepared for that, i`m sure he would do better now when he knows from what joyce is made of.

Very true that he has not improved drastically.

Remember Helenius' amateur career took a real nose dive before he went pro. Its true. Yet as a pro Helenius has achieved a top ten status.

Hrovic has things you can't coach in terms of size, strength, and durability. He's not the next Klitschko, but he's not the next Wach either.

I think if he gets the right trainer he can become somebody as a pro

I definitely remember when Helenius' amateur career took a nosedive. Unfortunatley for him his pro career has now something similar.

You are right about Hrgovic needing a different trainer. A different scene with experienced pro fighters to work with him is also an imperative. Unfortunatley is comes down to the same old story. Hrgovic has not been offered a decent pro contract from a compitent promoter so his developement has been stagnatiog, while guys with far less upside like Domonic Breazeale get every favorable opportunity to learn and develope as professionals.

The draw has been done but I can't find it anywhere.

Got the draw for the huge swedish team at least:
    64kg
Clarence Goyeram (SWE) vs. Artem Harutyunyan (GER)
The German is fairly good but should not be impossible.

    edit: have it.

64kg Zack Davies lost to Karslioglu (Turkey). Sam Maxwell beat Georgian Nyeki (Hungary). Maxwell boxes AIBA world number 1 at 64kg, Vincente Mangiacapre, on Monday. GB's only other boxer to feature today, light-heavy Lawrence Osueke, lost on points to Mullenberg of the Netherlands.

Doesn't look like it. Irish TV will cover the semis and finals on their web site I think.

It's a real shame that no real info comes out of Belarus. They might as well be organizing a lottery...

    Results appear here:

I'll go with 4 medals for Ireland. The RTE website will have the semis and finals but it will probably crash if more than 10 people are watching it.

No they're on. The judging system is a 10 point one, , though, and they collect the scores from three judges out of five. I haven't been able to see the actual point results for more than a few bouts.

Irishmen Joe ward and Ray Moylette both beaten today.

Moylette beaten on a unanimous (29-28,29-28,29-28 decision to Huseyin Karslioglu of Turkey.

Ward was forced to retire with just 20 seconds remaining in the third and final round after suffering a knee injury versus Poland’s Mateusz Tryc.
(Ward had dislocated his left kneecap and they were awaiting the results of an X-ray.)

Didn't see but heard Joe Ward was controlling the fight had won the first round 10-9 and then the second 10-8 and then slipped with 20seconds to go and done his knee in. Bad start to euros for ireland so far.
