I have nothing against JP either. And yes he is evidently nothing to really pay attention to. This was exposed because his promoters were smart enough to put him on american TV before he got a chance to start winning belts (i.e. before anyone's hopes got too high). Personally, I think this is a good thing because he's still young, still undefeated and can still go back to the drawing board and become a better fighter. And I got nothing against you sticking up for Kessler. I know talent when I see it and he's got it. Despite what spin some dumb asses want to put on his record (I can see how that gets on your nerves). But Berto and Dirrel will be exposed before they amount to ****. What I'm talking about is the difference between the "**** that guy turned out to be ****" to "that guy's the real deal" ratio between most boxing markets and the US and the truth that its a lot higher in other markets then in the US. Its more about the fraud frequency then actually naming off frauds themselves.
Size makes for an argument. Of course. Impossible at this point. :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl  No **** mate, a HW. A big Cruiser, of course. But this goes for any non-natural Cruiser moving up from the current crop. :!: ......... Sign out, don't return.
Lucien is open to the one punch that Kessler doesn't have a good history with, the lead left hook. Other than that, his defense is solid enough, he's a less adaptable version of Calzaghe, I favour him. Hopkins doesn't have issues countering a guy like Joe, what do you think he's going to do against a lower output, less handspeed Kessler? etc etc etc.. I can make arguments for each of them.
Firat Arslan - CW you dum ass Joe Calzaghe - Already beat him, fair enough Bernard Hopkins - Not a chance...and is retired anyways Adrian Diaconu - Maybe, but would favour kessler Antonio Tarver - Maybe, but would favour kessler Roy Jones Jr - Not a chance Winky Wright - Not a chance, too small, too old Kelly Pavlik - Maybe, would favour him. Arthur Abraham - No hope, won't get close to him, loses on inactivity or gets KOed. David Haye - Is a HW, you dum ass Enzo Macaranelli - Again is a CW, you dum ass....and is a joke of a fighter and one of the hype jobs this thread is dedicated to. In otherwords even though he's a CW he'd get his ass kicked anyways. Lucien Bute - Interesting fight given that he's a south paw. But has stated that he's not yet ready for this fight and as you said hasn't learned not to drop his left hand. I would favour Kessler. I otherwords I would only favour KP and Joe and to be honest i'mm not all that confident about my KP pick. There is a definite chance he could get taken a part. Kessler on the other hand even if he lost wouldn't get taken a part. So thats a dangerous pick. Oh and your a dum ass cause you got 2 200lbers and a heavyweight on your list.
Bute is a bargain basement made-in-China Calzaghe. As long as Kessler is fighting at 168 Bute stands as much chance of ruling the division as Kessler did when Calzaghe was #1. Problems with (and official losses to) another young and athletic fighter in Taylor, who doesn't have nearly as many tools as Kessler, does not bode well for the old-timer in this fight. The rest of that crop are too far behind technically, and none are going to hurt Kessler (barring cruisers and heavies).
roy jones jr? :rofl :rofl when are you mother****ers gonna realise that he's been gone for about 5 years?
Jones Jr is going to shock some people against Calzaghe. Not necessarily saying he'll win, it's hard to count Calzaghe out due to his adaptability and stamina but he's going to show some Jones Jr of old in that fight. Jones Jr has usually fought on cruise control, watch him against Hanshaw and Tito, he could have had either of those guys out at any stage he wanted, he's just not mean enough to do it. If a guy like Calzaghe keeps coming at him and making him work, could be just what he wanted. The two punches that knocked Roy out were cannon shots. The fight against Tarver that he lost was due to him having no confidence in his ability to beat Tarver, he's still got 80% of what he had prior to the Ruiz fight. 80% of RJJ? That's enough to beat top talent.
Jones has serious stamina issues. He didnt' put Tito and Hanshaw away because he fights at one pace. He doesn't have enough in the tank to go for a knockout in case it doesn't come off and he's gassed. This was painfully obvious against Tito. Jones still has speed, power and timing, but he doesn't have stamina. And don't forget Tito was retired and blown up, and Jones didn't put him away. If he could have, he would have.
A retired and blown up Tito who has been boxing his entire career is still quite some fighter to beat, Tito would still be a Top 10 Middleweight if he got himself motivated to fight more often than he has, his talent and skillset is still threatening. Look, I can't prove it til the fight occurs but don't count Roy Jones Jr out. Sugar Ray Leonard got counted out prior to Hagler, many things were being said the same about him, RJJ has a similar situation that he can really claim a big bit of legacy back by handing Calzaghe a defeat. The motivation in Roy for that? Mate, look at what George Foreman was able to do with correct motivation past his 40th. I never count out a superstar fighter.
Favoured over Kessler? Thats a tough question! Kessler is a mighty force between 160 and 175.Nevertheless,he is a human being and an upset victory for an underdog like Denis Inkin,Vitaly Tsypko or Lacy is always a possibility. Dont get me wrong though! I wouldnt bet my money on Lacy or Tsypko against Kessler, but they do have a chance to beat him.Kessler is no superman.Have a close look at his fight record and you will find the famour fly in the ointment!
Why so harsh? Let the man have his opinion, it is nessasary to disagree to some extent to have a forum running - Besides you can keep the laugh
