If this is not a geography forum, talking strictly to boxing, Golovkin competed for the Asian Games not the European ones.But you are talking to geography, in geography most part of Russia is considered Asia, too not politically wich is Europe, not Kazakhstan which belongs to Asia.Also, geographically, Kazakhstan it's clearly central Asia, never has been considered Europe, in fact is a very far and exotic country for the europeans, historically (very dificult to travel and comerciate, limited and dangeorus rutes) and even now in modern times is viewed here as something very strange and unknown. Golovkin, as from a remote asian country very far from Europe, it's(geographically and pollitically) of course not considered an european citizen.If he was he would be the no. 1 p4p european boxer, but he is the p4p no. 2 asian one (for now)...
