I know it's it's not Atlantic City or Las Vegas, and if it were it would have the history, recognition, and prestige to merit hosting said event...other than that I know relatively nothing about it. I mean this is a no brained is it not? Its not as if I'm sharing The Riddle of the Sphinx here, I mean this is essentially common sense, I thought. Neither guy is a huge draw outside their respective region, hence to make more money fights were held in areas where Showtime could get the most return on investment...the only fight Ward could have fought overseas was MAYBE Kesslar, but that was prearranged (first round match ups) from that point on circumstances dictated Wards fights being "at home"...Bika, Green, AA (coming off two L's) none could host and neutral sight no one would really give a ****, hence the fights being where they were. The finals after all the promotion and investment weren't going to be shipped overseas and force the majority of Americans to watch this **** at wee hours of the morning or at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon...money talks man, it's nothing to do with advantages.

Should have had the fight in Nottingham. That way if Ward won 12 rounds to 0. The European judges would have it to Froch by knockout.

Thats the truth. What they do over there isn't even boxing its so poorly officiated. The drunk moron fans don't give a **** as long as the local fighter wins. They get so drunk by the end of the night they think they are at a soccer game. No American fighter should ever fight over there unless they are in on the setup.

I dont know of any Europeans saying this, but I did read that J Bagg from the Ring Magazine did an article on how things have been favoured for Ward like all fight at home. A Green , AA coming off of 2 S6 defeats, 2 points given for Dirrell dropping out, which wasnt done for other fighters when there was a drop out etc.
J Bagg the Ring mag. It was an interesting read.

The Ring magazine mentioned this

    STFU ***** :|.
You have someone saying headbutts are boxing and then YOU saying fighters shouldnt go abroad, due to some fans being drunk.

Final being held by us is logic and i bet all the fighters knew that before the tournament started.people complain about ward cause he didn't travel in any previous fight, not this one.and the fact that yanks put new jersey in another country than oakland doesn't surprise us,we know you are idiots.

He was right about only one guy: Ward. Taylor lost and Dirrell is out of the picture.

Facing Bika (out of the tournament) and Green (he was so bad!) is obviously an easier path than the others.

US made sure of getting a clear option to the title by forcing three of their own guys in the tournament (two of them quit shamefully) and by not inviting Bute, who was with HBO then. Ward had proved himself since then that he deserved to be considered the best of the S6, but not the best at 168.
