just been wathcing Arguello all day and my copy of the watt fight was a Eurosport superbout copy

    and it got me thinking

why dont we bombard Eurosport with emails to bring back superbouts, they showed all the best fights.

Imagine a classic fight every week would be heaven

i dont see why they wouldnt though, a lot of their channel seems to be filling anyway and instead of equestrian competitions some boxing would be nice

It was on last week as well. They show a lot of Showtime fights delayed and even showed Lynes-Mbaye a week or two later.

Do they actually show any live fight anymore? Last one I remember was sitting up till 4am watching Ngoudjo-M'Baye.

They show mediocre Arena cards live. There was one on yesterday, headlined by Airich-Salif .

Eurosport are brilliant. They show a lot of delayed fights from the top level to average but interesting - Darchinyan vs. Agbeko mentioned above was on a few weeks ago. The commentary team are also much more entertaining than the cocksuckers fielded by Sky and ITV; I'm not sure who they are, but they always come across as being honest and insightful.

It would be nice if they showed more Classic fights as well as modern ones. I know Five do the odd Classic bout in the middle of the night. They're periodic and often just show the clichéd clips of Clay vs. Liston I, but there are also some gems in there - I think Foreman vs. Holyfield was on there a few weeks ago. If you have Sky, ESPN Classic show some boxing, but it's usually repetitive crap about Tyson in his early days.

ESPN only really ever show Ali and Tyson. One time they showed Benn - Eubank I tho. I think its worth checkin frm time to time wat boxing they have

    ESPN have cycles

every 2-3 months they go Naz crazy

then they have that reg and harry thing which is excellant

and maybe once a year they have a week of classic fights

    they showed

    Buchanan vs Laguna 2
Olivarez vs Arguello and afew others at that week

i like Superbouts with the original commentry.

i Hate it when Eurosport's Steve Holdworth dubs over it with his dull lame commentry killing the atmosphere of the actual exciting live event.
