Could be some TKO's due to butts, cuts, disqualifications, wrenched shoulders, etc. Both similar height and reach (EP @ 5'8", 68-1/2" reach; SS @ 5'8-1/2", 70" reach). Going with Pedroza 2-1 in a 3 fight series. Note: Researching SSandler, shows his smaller nemesis Paddy DeMarco was known as "The Billy Goat" and defeated Saddler twice by SD in 1951.
Probably the dirtiest mstch-up in history. Two men who didn't mind breaking a rule or two to win. Never saw Saddler fight , but watched Pedroza many times during the 80's . Pedroza was fun to watch simply to see what he'd get away with. Both fighters were very similar in ability and fighting style. A draw?.
Saddler's power would get him home here. IMO he's right near the top of the tree and a better fighter than Pedroza, which is saying something. He would be a chance of a stoppage even against Pedroza. He also has underrated skillz.
