While I think Pedroza is the better fighter I think Jeff gets to him late and stops him. Thoughts?

I think Pedroza, but who knows. Pedroza probably tries to get away with serious fouling

Fenech is a bit overly glorified on this forum IMO.

I think prime Pedroza outclasses him and possibly even stops him late. Pedroza threw very underrated uppercuts, a punch a guy like Fenech is always vulnerable for.

Pedroza was the better technician, and had the unreal stamina to match Fenech.

    Pedroza TKO 13.

Agreed, Pedroza is just on a different level here. He was even better at fouling.

I believe Fenech to be a great fighter. But I also believe Pedroza not only to be a superb fighter but more suited to featherweight as well. So I take Pedroza

Fenech is too strong I think he's able to control the distance and I think he out works Pedroza and wins by decision

I'd agree. Fenech by close decision. His workrate and will were unreal at his best. He's also handle Pedroza on the fouling front and was notably stronger. His strength was crazy. Pedroza was run close a few times. Fenech could get there for mine.

This is really interesting. I can't help remembering the first Nelson v Fenech fight where Jeff made Nelson look Pretty ordinary for most of it only to lose a really poor decision.
Pedroza was quality. Even old, shot Pedroza was quality when he lost to Barry McGuigan. His long punches were spectacular and explosive and, as previously stated, he packed a vicious uppercut.
I think any Featherweight would struggle to match Fenech's output and he really could go all night in his peak years.
I think, in an absolute classic fight between a pressure Fighter and a counterpuncher, Fenech wins the last 2 rounds big to get a narrow decision.
I wouldn't rule out Pedroza in a rematch though !

Pedroza was better at everything with the only exception being punching power.
As another poster noted earlier, who did Fenech defeat to think he would defeat a prime Pedroza? His best "win" was a draw with Nelson. Though in my opinion he actually won the 1st fight with Nelson the fight was officially called a draw, Fenech was taken apart in the 2nd. Pedroza would school the overrated but tough as nails Fenech. Pedroza by unanimous dec or late stoppage.

Love both of these guys. Going with Fenech. If Lockridge can give him all kinds of hell with preasure then Fenech takes it.
