Pedroza certainly had the frame to be able to move up to 130 without any trouble. Assuming he’s just as effective at super featherweight how does he handle a guy like Brian Mitchell who was slick, crafty and clever?
If we can assume Pedroza would be just as effective making the move up, then he outclases Mitchell. We're talking two different tiers of fighter here. Mitchell was merely 'very good'; I struggle to even consider him a great. Pedroza was an ATG.
If anything I think Mitchell gets a tad overrated on this forum honestly. Don't get me wrong Mitchell has a very eye pleasing style but his best win is a 7-5 decision over Tony Lopez apart from that there's not many other notable names.
Yup. Agreed 100%. He's one of the weaker champions to ever make the HOF. Very underwhelming resume. Nothing he ever did should make him a favorite over Pedroza.
