I love Danny. He's the first fighter you'll see if you visit my YT Channel. But he's not beating Pedroza. He'll get controlled and broken down. There will be no shattering comeback because there'll be nothing to launch it at, just a steady stream of deconstructing abuse.

As much as I loved Little Red's fabled "come from behind" heroics with that "knock me down and wake me up" preamble to putting the opponent into an instant coma, that ain't what would happen here vs Pedroza. The dirty truth of the matter would have been the same kind of stifling punishment, roughly speaking, that Danny received vs his nemesis Sal Sanchez, only delivered in that inimitable, rule bending way that Pedroza was so adept at. He would have smothered Lopez and either tko'ed him late ala Sanchez, or put him through a miserable, gruelling 15 round decision loss....either way with fouls galore and a big "L" for our Danny boy.

Pedroza dismantles the relatively straightforward Lopez and stops him in the mid to late rounds.

Pedroza really was something wasnt he.
He was on TV ALOT when I was a teen. I loved watching him operate. Very unique style all his own. I can't think of anyone I'd compare him too.
Looking back im pretty sure I gave Lockridge one of there fights but dont recall which one now.

That's what I loved about those 15 rounders back then, and the guys who regularly traveled that distance, like Pedroza, Galindez, etc.,...there was so much drama watching these operators...sometimes they seemed to be on the losing end to some folks, and sometimes not, lol,...provided much grist for the mill back then in pre-forum days...that is, if you were able to find someone who gave a damn about boxing and wanted to argue about it.

Robert, maybe Pedroza was that "elephant in the room" at featherweight.

If their EVER was a such thing as a fighter all wrong for another fighter it would be definitely Pedroza fighting Lopez . Let's look at the match up and what would be needed to beat Lopez. 1st great chin , Pedroza had that, great defensive skill, Pedroza had that. Great movement and elusiveness Pedroza had that. Lopez cut easily, Pedroza was one of the slickest dirty fighters in history. , Lacing, head butting, following hooks with the elbow all that was in Pedroza's repertoire. And usually the ref missed the fouls. Pedroza would dominate and dismantle Lopez in my opnion.

If you're a die hard Lopez fan (and I am), even if you suspect the rest of you might be correct ( and I do) the Zamora fight gives you hope.
