Well if a guy wants credit as a smw, the fight has to be in the smw division, that what you mean? I'm not sure I follow.

I mean fighters that can be rated in more than one division. Like if in a fight a guy comes weighing closely above smw and the other closely above or on the lhw limit you would consider that a lhw fight and would add that to his smw resume, right?

Yeah the heavier man dictates the weight the division is billed as. If pac digits martinez for the mw championship whilst weighing 145, it's still a mw fight.

Using oriray's example. Ketchel, had he knocked out johnson with that punch, that would undoubtedly be a hw victory and not a mw victory.

I think it's boilermaker who would consider it a mw victory. Maybe legend x as well. I'm sure I had a debate with them on this ideology.

I haven't prepared a top 30 p4p atg list, but if I had I'm sure that all of Louis, Marciano & Hagler would be in it.

I'd have Marc Dorcel , Nacho Vidal , Peter North , Manuel Ferrara and Alex Sanders .

Herchell Savage and Sean Michaels as honorable mentions but i just don't think that they'll make it .

Peter North and no John Holmes? Shawn Michaels and no Brett Hart? Odd picks. Must love longevity and money shots.

Decent list. Quite a few things i disagree with but nobodys lists are going to be the same and you have most of the names there.

Hearns, Langford, Fitzsimmons, Walker and Lopez are way too high imo, and Johnson, Dempsey and Holmes shouldn't be anywhere near a top 30 imo.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see no Joe Louis there though, he gets over-rated for me. A bit of me dies inside when i see him ranked above Ali as the HW GOAT.

Strong cases could be made for the likes of Hagler, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Spinks, Gomez, Sanchez, Napoles, Arguello etc.

Boxie, hello mate, how's it going?

I personally have Louis as my HW GOAT!

Would you have Marciano in a top 30 ATG list?

What about Ketchel's MW rank would it be boosted if he had KO'd him?
