Not a bad list and God know's its very hard to do one. A few questions I would have about it though, - Greb as #1? What puts him above SRR? - Tunney should be higher. Especially since you have Greb at #1: Greb was Tunney's only loss but he beat Greb 3-4 times after it. Also moved up to win HW title, so I'd have him higher - Hopkins is an interesting one. If you are going down the route of putting active fighters in, Pacquaio probably should be in the P4P list (8-division champion). Mayweather could sneak into it too? - Is Chavez 9 places below Whitaker? - Should Hagler be in the list, considering you have Monzon quite highly (who campaigned only at middleweight too) Hearns and Duran on the list?
Alright Fasthands, i'm great thanks, mate! How are you? I do remember that you rank Louis as #1! I just really struggle to see how people can rank him above Ali. He definitely doesn't have better wins and the Schmeling defeat counts against him for me. I don't rate Schmeling that highly and it wasn't as if it was a lucky shot that stopped him like Lewis vs Rahman 1. Don't get me wrong, Louis is a great, great fighter but he's not #1 imo. I also think that Marciano beats him everytime and i have Louis as my #3 HW which is generally seen as being quite controversial. Would i have Marciano in my top 30? Tough question. I rank him and Louis quite closely and might be able to find room for them both in the lower reaches of a top 30 (despite what i said in my initial post), but wouldn't know for sure without actually doing a list but i imagine they'd scrape in. They're both ATG's though, despite me thinking that Louis gets over-rated when people have him as #1 HW and top 5-10 P4P. Top 3 would be SRR, Greb and Armstrong for me. After that there are alot of fighters very close together with Charles probably slightly ahead imo. Wouldn't like to try and seperate them which is why i respect anyone who has the balls to post a list that isn't trolling. Although i disagree with quite a few of his choices, the TS's list is a decent enough effort for me.
