rummy, man..i wish you'd stop interviewing mayweather's dad. Doesn't do anything except boost his already inflated ego.

Hatton was so wide open its like there was no training camp. He tried to bang with pacquiao, and mayweather told him to box him.

Whats ****ed up is Roach and Pacquiao showed the world their gameplan. And Ricky still couldnt do anything about it.

It is all relative. In and of itself, pretty sound, but the prospect of putting Mayweather Sr. and Hatton together was a bad idea.

You cant change a fighter in one training camp.

Hattons style is to go forward and he did alright once he was able to get on the inside the few times that he did. Hatton needed a trainer that could have got him skills on how to get on the inside and minimize his openings.

^ that . it was good advice, but you cant change a fighters habits mid round. hatton was gonna come forward no matter what. You have to adapt to an individual's style, which Floyd Sr. doesn't know how to do. I would have just told Hatton to keep his hands up and stay in Pacquiao's chest. Make it an ugly fight. Not that he would have done much better either way. Telling him to box with Pac is just fubar , he couldn't outbox Pacquiao if he tried, he was compltely over-matched. Best thing to do is use your best assets which in his case was in-fighting .

That is a good point, but like people have already said, nothing Sr (or anyone for that matter) said could have saved Hatton. Hatton knew what kind of moves Pac was gonna use BEFORE he fought the guy..."right hook, roll under". But Pac couldn't miss him with the right hook in that fight. I don't think Hatton could see, or at least he couldn't react fast enough, to Pac's punches.

"You gotta move your head! You gotta think! You gotta move it fast!"

something like this as far as i can remember but hatton wasnt abe to execute their gameplan. Maybe he has but Roach's gameplan exploited hattons weakness

Same move everytime. I think hatton's camp except mayweather sr. thought that they could take pac's punches and bully him on the inside.

He likes coming on the show, we like having him on the show, and love him or hate him, people generally like to hear what he has to say.

I'll also add that he's been becoming relevant on multiple fronts, and I won't be surprised when he's leading fighters to championships, and I think someone like Vernon Paris is a good example of someone who can succeed in reaching that level with Floyd.

I don't always think he's the best at articulating his views, but the man does know boxing.

Floyd Sr. said, " Move your ****ing head", but Hatton didn't listen to it or he was hurt badly that he couldn't listen to those instructions. He still fought the same way in round 2 as he did in round 1. This was the reason why he got knocked out early in this fight. He didn't respect Pacquiao's power.

good advice would've been "he's timing your left wook with a right hook so feint it then duck under and throw your right hand to the body with a left hook behind it."
