Tubbs was down to 229 for Page in April 1985.... That Tubbs was serious.... However, "Tubbs-Page" stunk SO BAD I taped over the fight a short time later....

I'll pick '85 Tubbs at 229 pounds to decision the aging but capable Holy of 1999.....

If Tubbs is in shape and serious, I go with him to win the decision.

I think any good version of Tubbs might be a handful for Holyfield.. In this match up I picked Tubbs by Dec.. He could get caught though, but I don't see this version of Holyfield being able to catch this version of Tony..
Prime for Prime this might be a interesting match up.. Tubbs was slick but Evander could catch him, but Holyfield is not a huge puncher so who knows..

Tony Tubbs and Buster Douglas were very similar in many ways... Both could box like a real pro should box, but also owned shaky chins and were often bored and lazy in training... When dude's like Tubbs and Douglas were bored and only came into the ring for a check, they usually were slobbish looking and dreadfully boring to watch... Both were talented enigma's....
