Holyfield was quite fading,I prefer the fresher Jones Jr.

I think it’s possible for Holyfield to win, Byrd commented how much of a cat and mouse game it was, how Evander was planning ahead, I think maybe… just maybe Mr Holyfield catches him.

Roy's papier-mâché chin fails him once again. As soon as a legit HW puncher grazes his chin, Roy would get dropped like a sack of potatoes. The Real Deal by brutal stoppage.

It'll be a disputed decision with Jones nicking it IMO

I think RJJ completely lost his chin after he drained back into LHW after fighting Ruiz at HW, to then fight Tarver.

Jones wide decision, Toney stopped him at that point.

Jones by easy decision in a dull fight.

This fight was mooted at the time - and let's just remember where Jones was at this point, just one DQ loss. Easy points win for Jones.

I'm not so sure. Its natural for boxers to decrease their punch resistance the older and more battle worn they get. Roy Jones massively fell off after going back to LHW from HW.

Indeed. I just don't think the evidence backed up that he had a terrible chin all along. I mean, he went 15 years and 50 fights only being briefly floored once, before - post HW - getting routinely knocked out. I think his chin deteriorated along with his speed and reflexes etc

If Roy was confident of beating Evander, he’d have fought him. There were always whispers and rumors of Roy seriously contemplating fighting Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, Corrie Sanders, Buster Douglas etc. Yet ultimately we got Ruiz.
