Now that Holyfield has managed to fight well into his 40's, how do you think a fight between Evander Holyfield and George Foreman would turn out if both fighters entered the ring at age 45? Which fighter aged more gracefully, and which fighter was the more effective fighter at such an advanced age?

I still think that Holyfield would have too much speed and agility and would probably win a close decision. The fight would definitely be competitive, and George's jab would do damage, but Holyfield probably outworks him just enough to win a decison.

A 28 year old Holyfield had a tougher time than expected against 42 year old George and he was forced to overcome his own instincts and box the older man -by using his legs. Foreman would absolutely stop the 45 year old, lead-legged version of Slowlyfield. Absolutely. No doubt.

foreman for sure. foreman looked alot slower than he was.........and if toney could hurt an ageing holy, foreman could put him down HARD!!

But George was so much slower than a guy like Toney. It's just like when Tommy Morrison fought Carl Williams and got dropped twice. Everybody was saying that Foreman would shatter Morrison's chin if Morrison could be dropped like that by a relatively weak puncher. But Foreman was not fast enough to get his shots in crisply and solidly like Williams. And I think the same thing would happen against even a 45 yr. old Holyfield. Toney had hand speed and quicker reflexes; he was able to get in many more shots than George Foreman would be able to. And remember, Foreman's power in his comeback was not of the wrecking ball variety that he possessed in his prime!

Foreman would win, sadly probably by a grind-down TKO as well.

Even though Holy's looked a bit better these last couple years, he's still nowhere close to the guy he was back in '91 when he fought Foreman.

Foreman was able to throw 37 punches a round against Holyfield in '91, 50 against Moorer in '94 and 40 against Briggs in '97...you're actually looking at a situation where HE might be the guy outworking Holyfield, not the other way around.

And when you combine that with Foreman's heavier shots, well...this isn't a fun fight for a 45-year-old Holyfield.

You're doing Morrison a disservice. He may have not been a natural boxer, but he was a better mover in '93 than a 45-year-old Holyfield! He was also able to keep up a busier workrate (48 per round) than I would expect from Holy these days. He's also a harder puncher, which kept Foreman honest in a way that might not happen against an old Holyfield.

Even when Foreman was 48 fighting against Shannon Briggs Roy Jones commented on how deceptive Foreman's hand speed was. As mentioned a 28 year old undefeated prime Holyfield had a tough time against the 42 year old Foreman

A 45 year old Holyfield vs a 45 year old Foreman would be stopped

1990s foreman sucked as a fighter. He got shutout by Glass Jaw Morrison I had it 119-109 Morrison, and beaten up badly by B level fighters Axel Shulz and Alex Stewart and was lucky to recieve gifts, and C level Lou Savarere went toe to toe with him and foreman couldnt put a dent on his chin. I can't believe people actually pick 1990s foreman to beat Mike Tyson and Riddick Bowe in 1991, its almost laughable.

I have to agree. A 45 year old Holyfield would not have had the speed or workrate to out gun George, and in fact would be there to get hit too often.. This would be ugly.

I dont think George would ko Holyfiled.
Dont underated Evander's chin, even at this age.

I think Foreman controls the fight with the jab, and wins a ud.
