Physically superb, undeniebly the best CW in history since Michael Spinks beat Dwight Braxton in 15 rounds and then became HWT Champion, Evander not only beat Braxton in 15 at Jr HWT but knocked him out in four in a rematch, unified the WBA, IBF and WBC belts at CW b4 winning all his fights at HWT with just 205, 208 or 215 pounds at most, tough as they come, won the WBC Continental Americas HWT Title and benefitted from Tyson's loss to Douglas in Japan to make short work of Douglas in the opening of the Mirage in LV, NV, had that Battle of the Ages against Foreman, faced a comebacking but old Holmes like Tyson did and finally fell to the new and Superheavyweights of the class of 2000, particularly Riddick Bowe against whom he regained a portion of the titles but also became the first of two men to have stopped him and Lennox Lewis. he will always be remebered to have been the second man to stop Tyson and to have won for a 4th time the HWT title ( WBA version) but specially under the infamous Mike Tyson's rematch to have behaved like we always knew him, the consummate Gentleman in boxing - actually became hated by Tyson's fans for that reason. In my personal opinion, one of the top 10 HWts ATGs and I guess late Bert Sugar placed him that way, not sure, but it wouldn't be unfair in my view.

Jeffries is extremely high IMO. What is that based on? I'd certainly have Ezzard Charles, Liston, Marciano, Frazier and Wlad about him, probably Jersey Joe too

 

:good possibly the first top 10 I've ever seen without Marciano in it. He's no higher than 4/5 but not having him in the top 10 is like having someone that isn't Ali or Louis at 1

 

I have Rocky lower than most, but he is certainly a top 10 HW.

 

ATG CW but his steroid abuse at HW kind of puts and asterisk by his name in the division, but I guess he's not the only one.

I have Marciano in 20 for sure but I cant ever make up my mind on him. I'm a fan of his and he was brutal in the ring,a gentleman outside the ring but he fought in a historically weak era and his best wins were over and old broken down Joe Louis.
