that guy isnt a backstabber. he is one of the few who obviously cares about holy.
you applaud him still fighting. but will you help change his diaper once his brain damage kicks in???

The guy who wrote the article is right Evander could end up a right state if he doesn't retire now.

    You look like a ***.

I think Holy might just get the last laugh, boxing wise, when he beats Sultan/Chagaev or even Peter/maskaev. I think he may just grab another belt, but he won't be "undisputed" champ. One thing he has taught us fans.................you can't underestimate Evander Holyfield.

i saw the fight holy looked good and after the fight sounded articulate with no slurring. he is a grown up he is doing what he wants to do and his eventual retirement is no one elses business but his own. i personally think he can capture a piece of the heavyweight title. he can probably beat all the belt holders except wlad

I would rather not see him continue fighting as he continues to pile on the brain damage, but he has earned the right to fight and he is a warrior, so I wouldn't be surprised if he won a title again. The thing that bothers me is that he said he wouldn't stop until he became undisputed champion.

Yea and his name has also been linked to steroids. Not that its been proven but look how big he got since the days he was fighting at cruiserweight......

I will watch you change your tune when Evander wins a version of the title..

Holyfield is as good as some of the active contenders , he is an aging atg who still raises eyebrows when he beats some semi decent names..

I agree with this winner. I also enjoy watching this punch drunk faded ex-champ continue on the road to the undisputed heavyweight title! Watching him taking so many leatherings at the hands of men he would have eaten alive 10 years earlier has been very entertaining.

Yeah, but it took many years and an exceptional work ethic to get to where he is now, and he still isn't a big heavyweight.

I agree. A lot of people say they're doing it because they care about Evander, but so many of these people, including the writer of that article, seem to come off as condescending and insulting. And I hate it when people write an article about somebody as if that person is actually reading it.

A guy like Holyfield would rather get the tar beaten out of him then retire not pursuing his dreams. It's his choice, and he seems healthy. He seems pretty lucid in his recent interviews.
