    i dug this thread out, because somebody made one for a potential clash in 2009. in 1996 this would have been a meaningful fight and a potential war. i think evander would have won (if he had no health issues) but anything could have happened basically...

    Fight against Holyfield was almost done for August 2000, but then Showtime made an offer of $5M to fight Tyson in October and Golota opted to take Tyson's fight.
