Evander had the chance to defend the allegations but would rather duck and dodge them, trying to claim tyson was on them. poor show

Tyson maybe was on them and maybe Lewis,Bowe,Tua etc
It's irrelevant. And Holyfield talked about this issue many times and denies them. Considering he never failed a test,I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. This guy took punishment for years and entertained the fans.

Oh yeah sure. Proof? voice recordings? Nothing. This case would be thrown out in court.

Yeah he was real roided up all the way up to the staggering weight of 210 pounds! Oh my! The Monster! lol

poor show? yeah poor show being the best heavyweight of the 90's and the best cruiserweight of all time. You just dont wanna believe he was special because you never did anything in life. You're trying to tear the man down.

that huge heart was also result of steroids they make you train harder and you feel like you rather die than lose in competition atleast thats what one steroid user told me.

Mr Integrity on being offered Steroids in 1988:

"Somebody high up in boxing mentioned to me that there was this other fighter who did steroids and I should too because it wasn't illegal in boxing yet...I said, 'I'm not going to do that. I ain't no cheater.'" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2204139/Deadbeat-dad-Evander-Holyfield-held-contempt-failing-pay-500K-overdue-child-support.html

Holyfield's initial reaction to the Applied Pharmacy issue:

"I'm not overly concerned about the situation. For years, I bought all (my father's) medication out of Alabama. My sister takes care of that, every month, all his bills and stuff."

Holyfield later remembers a minor detail he neglected to mention at the time:

"A doctor there prescribed something, but I don't know what it was. Hormonal something. All I know is it didn't do anything so I stopped taking it. I only took it two or three times over the summer. They said, 'Just keep taking it.' I said, 'Why, it's not doing anything?' I lost to Larry Donald."

Things were getting a bit desperate with the "concerned about roid-rage / b.o." defence:

"His personality went back and forth. Sometimes he was normal. Sometimes he was aggressive. Another thing I noticed is that he smelled bad. A lot of times people who take steroids have this odor."

Finally, when all else fails, fall back on the the classic Armstrong "show me the positive":

“When people say I’m linked to something, they’ve got to show some kind of proof. Ask them how many times they have seen me overweight or underweight. I am consistently at the same weight more than anybody who ever boxed. They’ve never seen my skin saggy. And I’ve been tested more than anybody, and they ain’t ever found nothing in my system.”

Holyfield was a great fighter, true warrior in the ring, and far and away the greatest cruiserweight in the history of the sport. But come on, anyone who refuses to admit there is a high level of suspicion and gaping holes in his defence, is being delusional.

No, he was far from alone. Yes, he would probably still have been a helluva fighter without them. Let's face it though, the guy was a drugs cheat.

Was that user a pro boxer with the skill set of Evander? You can take all the crap in the world but you have to be able to execute in the ring !
