Its about 10 years overdue, but better late than never. A great warrior and one who will remain a symbol of both boxing and the generation of which I grew up watching sport.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see him once more though. He should fight Rahman again

Doubt its for good. Guy needs money and if he has to struggle with cans or be a punching bag to upcoming talents he'll do it. Fortunate Klits have honored him and refuse to ever give him a shot but he's so "shot" that it doesn't have to take them to give him a beating. Hope it doesn't happen but sadly I see him fighting on. Where else would he get money? Cant see him commentating. Ref? JJW ruined that for former fighters.

Thank goodness (I hope now he can sort his problems out). It will take a little time, but in due course the silliness of his 21st Century work will fade, and he will be rightly, be remembered for the 80s wars with Qawi, Dokes and Stewart; the epic fights with Bowe, Lewis and Tyson; and some pretty solid work and a bits of fun, in between (Moorer, Foreman and Cooper).

Hes in the rears pretty bad with a lot of judgements against him I assume as part of his bankruptcy. I dont think he will be able to do what Tyson does, he never had the following or excitement around him that Tyson did.

fighters can fight a little into their 40s, but once they reach near 50 it become almost impossible. They have to pick and chose who they fight very well. No fighter can really be effective at 50.
