70s and 90s boxers lost to guys from earlier eras on multiple occasions. We know they can be beaten by earlier guys because they were multiple times.

Back up your claims in a coherent manner.

Joe Frazier was NOT as skilled as what Joe Louis was.

Joe Louis had more technical ability.

If you don’t agree, then give us an actual breakdown.

Also, start a thread, asking who had the higher skill set.

I’ll find great amusement in you trying to convince everybody how wrong they are.

If you’re being genuine, find another sport.

    This is completely beyond you.

You are so out of your depth it’s PAINFUL.

What do you mean by outdated?

    Destroyed by his skill set?

    He had great skills.

He’s one of the highest skilled HW’s of all time.

You’re too dumb to even realise that he had a higher level of skill than both Frazier and Foreman.

You’ve never even studied Louis. And there’s no point pretending otherwise.

There is no certain style that is guaranteed to overcome everyone else’s.

There is no certain skill set that is guaranteed to overcome everyone else’s.

Fighters choose a specific style that fits around their own specific attributes.

Very rarely do fighters retire undefeated. And that’s because sooner or later, they are faced with a style that doesn’t mesh well with their own.

Fighters win and lose, depending on how they match up stylistically.

Joe Louis would both win and lose today, just like he would in any other era.

Muhammad Ali is widely recognised as the GOAT at HW. Yet a 5’10 Joe Frazier, who only had a 73” reach and a basic style, gave him absolute hell in 3 fights.

Think about that for a second.

Ali beat Liston, Norton, Foreman and Patterson etc, yet little Joe Frazier gave him absolute hell.

    That’s because styles make fights.

It will always be like that.

Joe Louis was bigger and more skilful than what Joe Frazier was, yet you’re trying to convince everyone that he’d have had zero success in the 70’s or 90’s.

    It’s absolute nonsense.

If you can’t appreciate how great Louis was and that he’d have had mixed results in any era, then this sport isn’t for you.

Stop embarrassing yourself, and go and EDUCATE yourself.

Holyfield is right. He most likely would've beaten Joe Louis.

Three great HW’s think that they’d have beaten Joe Louis.

    And?

    1. That’s what they’re supposed to think.

    2. Fighters will give certain answers depending on the respect or friendship that they have towards another fighter.

Mike Tyson has also said that he’d have had no chance at all in beating Ali, but he’s not sure if he could have beaten the Klitschko brothers.

This is also what he once said about Joe Louis:

This is what Teddy Atlas said about Joe Louis:

Regarding Ali’s comments, it’s no surprise at all that he said that.

That’s what he said about everybody.

That’s how he acted when the cameras were on him when he was with Howard Cossell, D*ck Cavett and Cus D’Amato etc.

That interview with Cus was from 1970.

This is what he said about Joe Frazier just before their first fight in 1971:

This is what he said after:

This is what he said after the 3rd Frazier fight:

“It was like death. Closest thing to dyin’ that I know of”

Ali dismissing Louis as a threat meant nothing.

A couple of things for you or anyone else who’s interested:

    You are an utter embarrassment.

If you’re over 15 years old, I want proof.

You have proven that you are simply incapable of having a debate.

The only person who’s been exposed is you.

This is a brief list of people who think that Joe Louis was a GREAT fighter:

Muhammad Ali (he didn’t literally mean what he said to Cus, and he said the same about Frazier and every other guy who he fought)

    Teddy Atlas

    Angelo Dundee (Ali’s trainer)

    Eddie Futch

    George Foreman

    Mike Tyson

    Bert Sugar

    Emanuel Steward

This is a list of people who don’t think that Louis was great:

    You

    White Bomber

List A = The opinions of respected ATG fighters, trainers and historians.

List B = The opinions of a pair of donuts on a boxing forum.

Plenty of fighters say they'd beat others.

Tom Sharkey was convinced he'd beat Joe Louis too.

Joe Louis said Ali would be a bum of the month, maybe we should take Joe's word for it.

The debate was over for you the first moment you entered the thread.

You simply haven’t got the required level of intellect to debate with us.

Here’s Mike Tyson’s opinion on Louis:

    This content is protected

Here’s Teddy Atlas’ opinion on Louis:

    This content is protected

Here’s a direct quote from Ali:

“I used to tease Joe Louis by reminding him that I was the greatest of all time. But Joe Louis was the greatest heavyweight fighter ever”

This is an example of your brain power that is powered by a handful of baked beans:

“Louis couldn’t have survived the 70’s with his lack of skills”

    This is the reality:

A 5’10” Joe Frazier, who was LESS skilful than Louis, and who had a basic style and a small 73” reach, found HUGE success in the 70’s.

    You’re done.

    Move along.

Yet in THREE attempts, Ali couldn’t easily beat a smaller, less skilled guy in Frazier.

We’re truly blessed to have you here.
