Evander Holyfield: I'd tear Joe Louis Up

If you are sticking to the claimed measurements, he had problems with Foreman's jab who is supposedly Evander's size as well with both claiming 78" wing span and 6'3" ish height.

 

Its easy to criticize someone's deficiencies.

Its another thing to actually exploit them.


Everyone knew what Frazier was bringing. Guys still couldn't do anything about it.

No different with Louis.
Waaaaaay easier said than done.

 

I love Evander but think Louis would have been a brutal match up for him .. they are essentially the same size. IF anything Louis was bigger naturally .. hand speed maybe a slight to Louis .. power by far to Louis .. I think with his chin and heart Evander match up well with a lot of all time heavyweights but this would be a tough one ..

 

Yeah it’s easy to see an opening, like a window of time where you can easily get low and land a body jab. Perhaps you even see openings for a sharp three punch combo. But what happens when he’s done covering up, and is ready to throw something back?

Louis is a touch of doom type puncher. He could hit you with something short that puts you in a whole different world. You might not be thinking about openings then.

With his combination of form, speed, and power, he can find you in unpredictable ways.

 

stand and trade roided Holyfield trying to out box much less trade on the inside with Louis? Joe goes right to the body builders body, make EH wish he was in with fatass Toney, then goes upstairs and the greatest combo punching fighter (not just heavyweight) in history does to evender what everyone thought Tyson would do and KOs him in 2. Easy work. Body beautiful s dont take body shots. Louis' hands were lightning. His power a 10 , Holy maybe a 6. The Real Deal finds God loves humble Joe Louis too. EH a bum of the month tour stop. Nothing more.

 

I would hope he'd be a little more than that. I also think he took shots to the body quite well.

I'm watching Holyfield-Foreman right now and Foreman is at *least* two inches taller and has a much longer reach.

 

Yeah, same size my ass lol.

Holyfield looked like a child next to Foreman.

 

It's foreman, his jab at that stage was a battering ram. There's 2" in height difference between them too.

And Louis looks as big or bigger than Foreman when they're in the ring together.
