Say Evander Holyfield came around a little earlier in the 1980's. At the time when there were a number of good but inconsistent contenders and the WBA belt was going from one contender to another. How do you think it would've went for Evander if he came up in the division at this time? Of course if he was to fight a prime Larry Holmes it would make for a classic showdown between two great heavyweights. But I'm more interested on speculation about fights against guys like Witherspoon, Dokes, Tubbs, Weaver, Page, Coetzee, Williams, Berbick, Michael Spinks, ****ey etc... Do you think Evander would be able to reign supreme over all these fighters had he met them when they were on top of their games? Would Evander fall into a similar trend as most of them did winning a few big fights but also losing some? Out of the bunch who would you think would be the biggest problem for Holyfield? We already saw in the late 80's Evander had to go life and death with an Dokes had a very tough battle with Alex Stewart as well and once he became champion all his fights were difficult. I think it would be much of the same with perhaps more tough fights had he come up in the early 80's. Its hard to say whether he'd be able to prevail in all the possible match ups. I think with his great heart he'd be able to pull out most of them but I'd expect him to drop one or two fights to one of the guys mentioned much like he did in the early 90s (Moorer, Bowe) .
How polite you are!I can see our opinion is important for you. Good guy.:happy I don't know because i think Holy was a PED freak. Sometimes he looked unbeatable but usually he was ****.:tired
If Holy came up in the early 80's, he would suffer a series of butt-whuppings, and a young Dokes would be at the top of the list to give them.
