I hate this! I crticize evryone else for never picking Floyd in H2H matches, and yet I struggle to find ones that I also think he would win....I do think Floyd has a chance, I just would not pick it or envision it as the likely scenerio.

I think Floyd would set the tempo early and be ahead on the cards through 5...but Holy starts coming on and stops Floyd on the 8th or 9th!

I would love to see this fight !

Would be a war, very close fight.....But I like Holyfield in both weights.....Holyfield was stronger, had a good size advantage, as active as Patterson, and had a better chin.....

It would be by decision because I don´t think Holyfield hit harder than Ali....

Too close... Patterson has the edge in speed and the power is incredibly close. Evander is stronger (I guess depending on what weight they fight at) but it's a damn close fight.. at Either weight I think it goes all the way.

Holyfield stops him, mid to late rounds. Patterson cant handle Holyfields power at either cruiserweight or heavyweight I think. Dont see much chance of it going the distance.

Is this the focused Holyfield, or the one that dicked around when he was the favorite in a fight?

If it's the focused Holyfield, Patterson gets left-hooked outta' there.

Holyfield beat Tyson... so how do you think he's going to handle the smaller, lesser version.

Maybe because Patterson was better skilled overall than Tyson, no doubt in my opinion...specially post-prison Tyson.....
I´m just saying, because I like Holyfield in this one, too.....

I'll go with Evander via mid to late round stoppage. Bigger and stronger and was a good boxer as well. Floyd would have his moments early but Holy would turn it up a notch or two as the fight wore on and overwhelm Floyd. Evander's been in there with much bigger HW's with more power than Patterson so I don't see him really getting hurt. Outboxed yes but not hurt and that would be a big factor here

Like everytime poor Floyd get´s the short stick. It is a damned close fight that would go either way. A few things to think about:
    - Floyd beat fighters of equal size in Bonavena and Chuvalo
    - Floyd beat equal hard or harder punchers in Bonavena, Chuavlo, Quarry, Johannson
    - Floyd beat similar or more skilled fighters in Machen, Quarry, Ellis, Moore

So, he dealt already successfully with everything Holyfield brings to the table. Well, Holyfield is better than all of them no doubt but still. I think it´s very close early, Holyfield probably getting a flash knockdown, Patterson taking the middle rounds and Holyfield the last rounds. In the end I can see the knockdown making the difference.

Floyd Patterson is very underrated, but he was a very small HW. Even at CW, he's undersized. Holy, in my opinion was a better CW than HW. He had better stamina and power at CW. I think he would have stopped Patterson late, but Floyd could have cause Holy problems if he uses his superior speed and his movement. If he slugs it out with Vander, he get taken out within 5.
