Agreed. Welcome Vipers! To answer your question, I do believe Evander would be able to weather Jack's early storm and gradually take control of the fight in the 4th or 5th round. Evander was technically superior and had a comparable chin. True, Holyfield's gameness and stamina issues might spell doom for him if he gets too comfortable but I don't see that happening. Holy UD all the way.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eha9nEcrMqQ[/ame] Dempsey was one of the best finishers in history - not just in heavyweight history but ALL boxing history and Holy for all his fighting heart and digging deep he was not infallible - at his peak I always keep thinking about his wobbly moments and would he be easy meat for someone with the viciousness and power and speed and ferociousness of Jack Dempsey in a frenzied attack would Dempsey let him off the hook where Smokin Bert allowed him to? I can't see it - I do however see an almighty slugfest because a la Bert Cooper Holyfield always met fire with fire but if he meets Dempsey's fire with fire he comes off second best to one of the greatest finishers the game has ever seen [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLhY96EzkxQ&feature=related[/ame]
