I just watched this fight and I had a few thoughts. I hate Holyfoul. The leading with the head. The elbows. I do NOT blame Tyson for biting this fool's ear. How many times did the ref warn him for coming in with his head. A few times he didn't even disguise it with punches, he just lunged in with that big old head.

Toney looked great. It's hard to believe that he fell off the way that he did. Also, how/why has Holyfield continued fighting!? It was clear in 2003 that Holyfield was shot. :-( What's even sadder is that now, almost 7 years later, Holyhead still has a legitimate chance to win a title. :patsch

And finally, Holyfield's speech has (understandably) deteriorated, dramatically. The post fight interview from 2003, compared to an interview today makes me a feel sorry for him a bit.

What are your thoughts on this fight?

    "I got milk baby!"

But seriously Toney was too crafty for him and Holy really couldn't find him. Byrd must've been frustrating for him too.

Many (myself included) felt he outboxxed Valuev, which is quite sad.

Some would say that he does. I am not one of them, but I guess it's possible. A lot of people think that he beat Valuev.

Yeah, well, he DID beat Valuev. But he won his last world title fight nearly ten years ago and has since gone 0-4-1 in world title fights on the cards, on the official cards. Dude's 47 years old. I don't know who thinks he'd have much more than a fluke of a chance (Which at this point would have to come from a gift title fight.)
