I'd like to say, Louis' ability to box is criminally underrated. Nowhere is it his most reliable strength, but it was there at his disposal. Holyfield might be his master in this department. However, I don't believe he can consistently sustain that boxing rhythm and not have deadly run-ins with Joe the puncher. I expect Joe to acquit himself adequately enough until eventually turning the tables on Evander. It's then that the doggedness will spring rushing out, and that will certainly hurry things along its way.

The Bomber takes it on a merciful stoppage.

Can't...Can't do it, Bonecrusher. I cannot pick one. I'd like to pick Louis...but...

Real Deal wins this. His incredible punching accuracy would exploit Joe's hand dropping tendencies all day, and for once, he'd be the bigger man. Dont get me wrong, JL's faster than lightning cross could starch just about anyone in history. But Evander wouldn't be stupid about this. Assuming his stamina for the fight is healthy, I think he dismantles the Brown Bomber and takes a clear decision over 12 rounds.

If we go to 15, things could get interesting for sure.

Holyfield-Louis would be an extremely competitive fight. Both men would dish out and receive a tremendous amount of punishment. I think Joe would outland and hurt Evander more times than vice versa. Louis wins a close decision over 15 rounds.

This would be a great fight. Every round would be competative, every exchange fierce. Holyfield won´t box Louis, not for the most time. He is the bigger man in there. Louis faster hands, better combinations, better power see him through here. It would be very comperative early on but Louis´ more effective, harder and quality punching will see him taking over in the midrounds and in the end the ref saves Holyfield from a bad beating. Louis TKO12 Holyfield.

Louis was not too flat footed. Holyfield is no Billy Conn when it comes to footwork and footspeed.
Louis also solved his hand-dropping issues after Schmeling exposed this flaw.

After having some initial difficulty, Joe slowly begins to wear down Evander. Louis by late TKO.

I wouldnt like to pin my colours to any mast here as my opinion has changed back and forward. Sometimes i think Holy on points, other times Louis by late stoppage. Too close to call for me

This would be a great fight! Louis I feel would get to Holyfield late and stop him, not a clean KO but a TKO I see the Ref saving Evander as he is out on his feet. I see Holyfield in the fight all the way and its close when the Ref calls a hault in the 13th round.
