I don't want to convince you of ANYTHING,i understood your argument since the first time, simply i disagree, the best thing that killed me is "holyfield was bigger in 1999" he weighed 210 in his Prime and he was 215 in 1999 ,so tell me how the hell was he bigger? 5 pounds? Lmao! Funny how you said that holyfield could not ko lewis with a single right hand but when i told you the example of foreman you resorted to the defence or speed. Lewis did not have the chin to be free of a ko by holyfield.yes i agree that foreman took everything early from evander like nothing but foreman had a hell of chin and was stronger than lewis
Whether you're trying to convince me or not really isn't the point though is it? We are both making arguments for our opinions and know we won't change each others views, as that almost never happens here. We're just having a friendly debate and trying to undermine each others arguments such has claiming 5lbs weight difference isn't bigger. And it was more than 5lbs, Holyfield, using your examples of his prime as the Foreman and Douglas fights was 208lbs and he weighted 215 an 217 against Lewis so we are talking about 7-9lbs in reality. At trying to deflect the fact that Holyfield never showed he had the kind of one shot power with the right hand to one punch KO Lewis. As for speed are you saying Foreman was as elusive as Lennox. Foreman was slow as hell and easy to hit, Lewis wasn't. So even if what you assume is true and Evander has the one punch power to KO Lewis doesn't mean he could ever land the kind of punches on Lewis like he did with Foreman. LMAO if you don't think defence and speed would factor in, you used speed as a reason why you think Holyfield would beat Lewis though when it's used for Lewis, speed is a non factor. :nut Also in the actual 2 fights, it's not like Lewis went through those fights unscathed, some even argue Holyfield won the 2nd fight. Lewis tasted Holyfield's power at 217lbs and it wasn't enough, single shots from Evander are never going to be enough to stop Lewis, Holyfield would need to break Lewis down and I don't think he can work enough to do so.
Evander weighed 210 against bert cooper,in the foreman fight on boxrec say 208 but in the vĂdeo of the fight . 209.so he was 215 in 1999 and he was even 217 in his rematch with bowe, anyway we never will agree about that, nice to debate with you.
I think an argument can be made either way as to who is the better heavyweight. Personally I think Lewis is. But in terms of p4p and accomplishments throughout their careers, I have no problem picking Holyfield. So on a p4p list I'd rank Holyfield higher, but on an ATG heavyweight list, I rank Lewis higher.
No atg heavy weight gets chinned twice, he has to pay the price for it. Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk
I question calling Lennox Lewis a top ten champion after being knocked out cold by Rahman. I am struggling to think of another considered great Heavyweight champion who had lost their title in that fashion.
I won't be that harsh, somewhere in the top 10 is justified but not 3 as some of his nuthuggers lobby for Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk
Not easy to rank one over the other. Their resumes have very different strengths.. Lewis has more dominance, better record, and the claim to having beaten every man he's ever fought. Evander has the epic meetings with better opponents, but also lost some of them.. I generally place Lewis around #5 and Holy around #8, but I can see arguments which might put them at different places.
So besides Ali and Louis, which others would you rank higher than Lewis if he had gone through his career undefeated?
