Foreman tko. Evander wont get knocked out for a count but the bigger stronger and much more powerful Foreman will hurt him.

I guess it would be overly simplistic to say George choked. It would also take away from the brilliance and adaptability of Ali's performance.

"Choke" is a pretty harsh word. I haven't seen anyone willing to take that kind of punishment and showing that much determination to knock out their opponent than the zaire version of Foreman. He showed no respect for Ali whatsoever and ate 2-3 shots just to land one. He literally punched until he collapsed. Dumb game plan? Yes, but he didn't "quit", he lived and died by the knock out.

Plus, his corner literally told him to keep doing what he was doing.

Ultimately, Foreman's failure was in having a one-pronged approached, which in itself was quite valid (prior to the fight, few to none gave Ali a chance), but left no room for adjustment.

Foreman's was a strategy of self-perpetuating failure, triggered only by the confounding variable that was Ali's extreme durability.

Didn't Foreman's corner have a water bottle? This sounds like an excuse. Jimmy Young out boxed Foreman, who showed shaky stamina in the Ali fight and Lyle fight. There was another fight he had that went the distance where Foreman's corner told him there was one more round to go, but it was the final round and George was very upset with his corner. He knew about that small gas tank. I think the fight I'm referring to was a 10 rounder. Foreman was so powerful, he didn't have to deal with a fight that required him to move for 12 rounds often.

    Just hot hot was it?
