I think Marciano beats the 1986 version of Evander who fought life and death with a 36 year old Qawi. But by 1988, a fully matured and unified cruiser champ in Holyfield would have been a very hard fight to win.
Thomas Douglas Stewart Botha Moorer Dokes Cooper Were all good 200lbs plus heavyweights. Tyson was a great one. How many one punch ko's do you think Marciano scored? Why would it be hard for me to admit it? Who mentioned weight lifting? I'd say Bowe and Foreman were stronger than Marciano too. The only guy over 200lbs worth mentioning that Marciano beat was 37 years old, past it Louis.
Saturday I played cards in a pub,Sunday I went to a blues gig, tomorrow I'm going to Broadstairs Folk Festival.I have plenty of joy fella.
I’m aware. I’m still not sure I’d pick an 11 fight Evander to beat him. And Dwight for as tough as he was, was no heavyweight
Not single one was great and all of them was past his best, including Dokes, Douglas and Tyson. He has the highest KO ratio, that speaks for itself. Bowe not Foreman yes, but Foreman was old as hell. What about Holyfield fighting 100 years old Foreman, Holmes, Dokes and past prime Tyson?
A 5’6” 36 year old Qawi took holy the distance in their first fight, seeing Holyfield going to the hospital after. If you don’t think Rocky could do better than go with it.
I disagree Marciano was more skilled. Holyfield had better movement, better footwork/balance, better combination puncher, faster, better technique. I never said Marciano would fight off the backfoot i was giving you an example that Marciano is limited to what he can do where as Holyfield has more dimensions to his game hence Holyfield is a better all around boxer.
