Prime Foreman yeah, old Foreman would lose badly because Marciano is Qawi 5.0. And Marciano would hit Foreman with some nasty rights and uppercuts.
Yeah, neither did William Muldoon. But times change. I'll agree with this but Holy was still stronger. Vander was 41 years old versus Toney having fought for 20+ years. Marciano fought for about 8 years total, amateur and pro and quit at 33. How would he have done against that Toney at 41? Hell, I'd pick heavyweight Toney over any version of Marciano. I'm pretty sure that he did beat Bowe. Maybe we should look at that website, boxerrecords.com. He came damn close to beating prime Lewis while he was past prime. And he was set to fight prime Mike when Mike couldn't keep his dong in check.
Foreman would roll Marciano like a bowling ball. Give me a break. Marciano didn't have half the strength required to stay inside with Foreman.
Have you ever fought against a guy 40 pounds bigger and tried to work inside, especially a guy who likes to push?
In what way is it strength dependent? Break it down. I have been on the inside with a guy bigger than me by that margin. Pushing is illegal and not what we are talking about - purely inside fighting.
A lot of things are illegal. Leaning on you, holding you, shouldering you, clinching and maneuvering you, even breaking clinches with that push down. I spent a year and a half sparring with a 6-6, 250 dude who was turning pro and he did everything under the sun to impose his strength. And I was gym strong AF. But it ain't the same.
I think our definitions of inside fighting are different - You’re right here Seamus when the weights that dramatic and you go an illegal route… It’s why Lennox Lewis in the real world could beat Marciano with no worries IMO Lewis could just lean on him, uppercut, hold him, move him around etc all the things a big pro should do, it’s your life in there. I think technical “real” inside fighting - what you see Toney do is not dependent on strength and he demonstrated that against many very large and strong fighters.
Bowe didn't lift weights in his prime, same goes for Frazier. Nope he only had better game and stamina, prime Tyson is another story. Vander was old but so was Toney who was MW and holyfield was full HW at that time. I wouldn't pick any LHW over Marciano let alone bloated and fat SMW who won against Holyfield who was punch drunk and wasn' the same fighter who faced Bowe. Watch what Ali said about computer fight and 46 years old Marciano, I think he would stand good chance against Toney even then. Yeah once, and was beaten twice badly by that same Bowe. Against Lewis was only chin that gave him advantage but nothing more than that, same wtih Tua and Mercer. He wouldn't, he couldn't roll Qawi, Axel Schultz, Stewart...and they were nothing like prime Marciano. Marciano wouldn't beat prime Foreman, but old Foreman would be eaten alive with his face looking like a potato.
If you hit his hands when he tries to push you it wouldn't work good for him and that's what would happen if old slow Foreman tries to push Marciano. Every time Foreman would be pushing Rocky who was stronger than Frazier, Rocky would hit his arms and elbows, also Foreman body, Foreman never prove that he could take a punch in stomach.
Holyfield was easy to hit and nearly always turned a fight into a war. Over 15 rounds, which Holyfield never did, I think Marciano wears him out for a UD. Evanders main offense, namely his head, won't work here as Marciano is smaller than he is and their heads won't collide. Over 190 for sure Holy wins.
This is pure fiction. Foreman was magnitudes stronger than Rocky. And Foreman never had a problem taking blows to his arms and elbow with his cross arm defense, and that coming from guys who hit harder than little Rocky. Face it, Rocky is never getting past that telephone pole jab. Same story if he had ever faced Liston. It would be U G L Y. Many an faux gold crucifix necklace would be tarnished with tears that night. Many an IROC wrapped around telephone poles.
Who hit harder than Rocky? Who was as good body puncher as Rocky that Foreman faced and that had that strenght. Foreman never get tested to the body and never tested that he could have take Rockys punches to his arms. Two hard fighters he faced were only contenders and head hunters, Rocky wasn't.
Yeah, the guy who had no heart, couldn't take body punches, tires easy and was prone to right hands would simply win against Rocky...yeah, in science fiction.
