I know you do Whitey! I'm just ****ing with ya!

    At 190Lbs. it's a great scrap.

At CW Holyfield went 18-0 (14) overall and 6-0 (5) in World Title Fights. He won a World Title vs. a Hall of Famer in just his 12th pro fight.

At CW he has notable wins vs.-

    Tyrone Booze W8
    Anthony Davis KO4
    Chisanda Mutti KO3
    Dwight Qawi x2 W15 and KO4
    Henry Tillma KO7
    Ricky Parkey KO3
    Ossie Ocasio KO11
    and Carlos DeLeon KO8

    9-0 (7) vs. these men, 2-0 (1) vs. a Hall of Famer

He was never knocked down at CW.

Marciano went 49-0 (43) at HW and was never more than a few Lbs. over the old CW limit of 190Lbs. He went 7-0 (6) in World Title Fights and 6-0 (5) vs. Hall of Famers... Louis KO8, Walcott x2 KO13 and KO1, Charles x2 W15 and KO8, and Moore KO9.

Now, some feel that the best fighters he faced were past prime. Well, I don't feel that way about all of them. Despite their age Walcott and Moore were as good as ever vs. Marciano IMO. Charles was a little past prime but he was well prepared for Marciano and rose to the occasion in both of their fights. Louis was definately past prime but he had won 8 in a row vs. decent fighters. He had only won 3 by KO though.

In addition to going 6-0 (5) vs. the above fighters he also beat these notable fighters-

    Roland LaStarza x2 W15 and KO11
    Rex Layne KO6
    Freddie Beshore KO4
    Lee Savold KO6
    Bernie Reynolds KO3
    Harry Matthews KO2
    and Don Cockell KO9

8-0 (7) vs. these men... 14-0 (12) vs. the mentioned men.

He was knocked down twice (Walcott and Moore) but won both fights by KO.

    Now, on with the fight.

Holyfield is about 4" taller and has about a 10" reach advantage. Maybe "advantage" is the wrong word though... Marciano's plan is to get inside, stay close, work the body, head, arms, and whatever else he can punch!

Both men are very strong with good power. Both men have great chins and are well conditioned. I'll give Marciano a slight edge in power because I think he carried his power in the late rounds a little better.

Holyfield was the more athletic of the two. He had the better jab, the better footwork, and the quicker hands. Marciano was a little better at cutting off the ring and finishing. Both men bring a good workrate to the ring.

    So, who wins?

I see the fight going the distance. I also see both men landing a lot of leather. The decision could go either way. I'll go with a 15 round draw!

Sheer brutality. I favor Holyfield by decision. Both fighters sharing neighboring beds in the hospital.

Edit: Not that either of them can touch Valuev, of course.

What a war this would be...!!!! It's a tough one to call, but as i do n't like sitting on the fence,I'll go with Holyfield by split decision.

I don´t think there is one fighter in history beating Marciano weighing around as much as him or lower. Not even the Greb´s, Langford´s or Fitzsimmons´ of the world.

15 rounds it's a Marciano win. 12 rounds it's very close but I still slightly favor Rocky.

Holyfield always had the ability to box, but he was all to eager to mix it up after being tagged until he fought lost a decision to Riddick Bowe. That was the first time he couldn't win on his will alone. I believe the Holyfield that faced Mike Tyson would defeat Marciano.

The Holyfield that waged war against Qawi had the same mentality of the Holyfield that faced Bert Cooper.

I think Marciano would stop the cruiserweight version of Holyfield in under 8 rounds.

This would be a close, rough, brutal trench war, I envisage Rocky winning by SD over 12 rounds, UD over 15 rounds and stoppage over 20 rounds.

    Tommy add these poll options:

    Marciano KO/TKO
    Marciano UD/SD
    Draw
    Holyfield KO/TKO
    Holyfield UD/SD

Yeah thanks for asking nicely just for that I'm only adding 4 options.

    :lol::patsch
Marciano would kill Valuev but you already know that hahaha

My inclination is that a cruiserweight version of Holyfield had too few fights, and did not acquire a lot of his strength or experience until ascending upward... Still a great fight, but I'm hesitant to pick Evander at 190 lbs or less.

Haha, I actually had my poll request written out politely in the original draft of the post, but when I closed the tab by mistake I forgot the niceties upon rewriting.

P.S: Do you guys give Cruiserweight Holyfield a better or worse chance against prime Dempsey?

I'm going with the Rock at Cruiserweight. Holyfield was too inexperienced, at that point, for Marciano (who was still making 190 all through his career).

if evander had more than 40 fights at 190 he would be in with a real chance but he was still a little too eager to mix it up untill the foreman - holmes fights, thats when he came of age as a seasoned fighter IMO. This is a big compliment to evander, i think on his best day holyfield could do as well against marciano as charles did.
