    What an atrocious card. I'd actually stay up to see Holyfield but no way will I sit through this shower of shite before it. Boswell? Johnson? Long? ****ing hell.

    Round 1

    Davis comes at Barrett with a right jab, carefully working his way in from the outside. Barrett moves in long diagonal strides launching long lead right hands, planting several in Davis' squishy gut. Davis hangs back and blocks most of Barrett's high jabs. Barrett lands a bit more to the body with the right hand. Davis runs away from a triple jab sequence by Barrett, ducking and nearly losing his balance. Barrett leaps in with a jab and Davis tries to time him with a left uppercut but misses by a few inches and nearly lifts himself off his feet. Barrett slips a Davis combo and ties him up by the ropes.

    Slow round, overall

    :lol: Boz is the least offensive of the bunch, IMO.

    I still think it's a bummer the Ustinov fight fell through on him. Boswell would have put a brutal end to that hype. :yep

    I'm tipping it ever so slightly to Barrett for the body work.

    I think Davis edged round 2. Rather low workrate by both fighters, as expected.

    Round 2

    Davis is leading with some straight left hands and lands one really nicely flush on Barrett's face. Barrett is leaning his tall body away above the hips, forcing Davis to extend his upper body forward to land his punches. Davis thrusts the left hand lead out into a ducking Barrett's midsection and nearly winds up low-blowing him as Barrett straightens up. Barrett with a nice body hook after a clinch. Davis is very relaxed, just turning and watching Barrett and looking to land a right jab as a setup punch for heavier fire...not forcing anything. Barrett drops his shoulders down and stoops in front of Davis, leaving his head hanging out in the open in what may be an attempt to lure Davis into creating countering opportunities. Davis doesn't bite.

    Davis' left hands were actually enough to net this one.

    Davis won the 3rd round big. Landed harder shots and more left hands

    Round 3

    Davis is throwing some wild shots now, but backing Barrett up with the left landing especially well again. Barrett digs in deep with a hard right uppercut to the porridge bowl. WOAH!!!! Barrett gets his face wrenched with a hard left hand. Ow. Barrett is keeping his hands low trying to land uppercuts and shoot out both fists from the hip. He's trying to rely on upper body movement to defend but Davis is landing. Barrett is right in there, landing uppercuts to the body but the headhunting of Davis is both more eye-catching and clearly more painful. They parry jabs and Barrett breaks the pattern with a hook. Uppercut to the belly by Barrett. Davis lands another left hand, somewhat soaked up by Barrett's shoulder but still clipping the side of his face.

    29-28 Charles Davis

    Round 4

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Both men throw punches coming forward and the body weight of Barrett combined with Davis having been off balance forces Davis backwards, with Barrett pitching forward on top of him. Both take a while to get up. Oh, heavyweights.

    Barrett lands a nice 1-2. Davis steps outside and lands some nice lefts to the body in between wide, quick lateral steps. Good double left hook to the body by Barrett as Davis is ducking down and ramming into him. Davis reaches out and brushes Barrett's cheek gingerly with some little slaps. Davis paws with his jab from outside and parries Barrett's. Davis gets caught in a headlock. Barrett leads with a jab, blocked - then lands a nice right uppercut. Another nice right uppercut. 1-1-4 by Barrett. Davis clinches. They step forward and tie up their lead arms but Davis brings a left uppercut around to land before they come fully together.

    38-38
