Davis is trying to stay slick on the outside, right arm held low, pulling his chin back and circling lazily. Barrett drills him with a few rights. Barrett drops his arms in a gorilla pose right in front of Davis. Neither is really doing much offensively beyond an occasional jab. Davis lands two beautiful right body hooks. BARRETT HURT. No, he's playing possum. That first hook did sting, though. He's just trying to play it down. Barrett clinches. Davis sweeps with another right hook to the body but Barrett springs back off his toes. Barrett lands a nice stiff jab that jerks Davis' head back. Davis clinches. Barrett feints with a jab, and Davis feints with a counter. Neither throws an actual punch.

Round 6

Davis gets back on the outside with his low-right stance. Barrett follows him very slowly, giving a wide berth. Davis leads with a left to the body, but too short. They start to close the gap and Barrett overextends with his jab. He's liable to pull a muscle doing that. Davis comes at him and tries to clinch him around the neck and winds up slipping down at his feet with his arms around Barrett's trunk. Barrett hurts Davis with a hook. Davis backpedals. Davis clinches. Barrett keeps his arms up high to show the ref he's not initiating. Barrett comes at Davis and throws combos, beginning with a 1-2 through the gloves. Barrett fights Davis to the ropes and forces him to clinch. Davis lands a loud, nasty lead left - his best shot of the round. Barrett walks Davis down and knocks him bodily off his feet - just balance, not a knockdown. It happens again moments later. Davis is toppling every time they come together and make contact.
