That sums up Ross the Boss pretty good at that point in time.

The result of it was----not many wanted to put their guy in with him. Signing a contract to fight the guy meant being in real good shape because it's going to be a long haul 12 round fight for not much money. Just look at how often these top heavies would show up with their B game and either lose or put in a poor performance. Considering the low payday, how many fighters would have bothered to get razor sharp for a Ross Puritty anyway? Who is getting an A+ result?

If the guy had been signed to DKP, I think maybe he kind of does an Oliver McCall.

By the way, Ross ate some straight right hands from Vitali he, or anyone, had no business taking. Unbelievable. What a set of whiskers.

no, I didn't, the OP claimed joe cowardzaghe had slept with an underage girl. I'd rather not talk about this now, if its all the same to you, this is a horrible topic.

I'm not pursuing nothing. I asked about a topic you instigated.

Stop replying and the topic dies.

    Simple.

Regarding the thread Holy > Vitali

And I'll also ad that fight might have been a premature stoppage.

I thought so. Ross the boss was way down on the cards, but nobody was picking him to win rounds anyway. But that was a pretty severe cut. Come to think of it, I don't remember him being a guy that got cut. Way down on the cards and a bad cut when you are not the house fighter= stoppage. What a tough guy though coming out to absorb some more shots in like the 8th and 9th rounds.

u've been told I didn't instigate quite clearly and blatantly. Once again you lie that I started it. why the lie twice?

Stop replying and the topic dies.[/QUOTE]
exactly, whch is what you should have thought when you chose to reply from out of nowhere - you were never asked to join the convo, you chose to join it out of the blue.

take your own advice next time and chose NOT to.

Totally ignored the part of my post that said Holy > Vitali.

Why would you omit that section?

Evander's fight with Valeuv proved a prime early to mid 90's version would have little to no problems beating Vitali .

Sure Vitali was better , but their styles are the same. Vitali does it a bit better , that's all. Even their resumes are practically the same.
Valeuv has Ruiz , Donald , Barret , MaCline , Liakhovich , Eitenne.. Not much between them.

47 Year old Holyfield gave as good as prime Chagaev and Haye. For an extremely faded and weak Holyfied to achieve that shows the enormous gap in talent between the two generations these guys fought in.

Drawing comparisons from other fights isn't always a valid indicator to how a fight plays out . A more valid observation would be how Vitali fought his whole career with one arm probed out in the air and with the other hanging all the way down by his side. Such a flaw in his stance leaves him open to left hooks and right hand over or in this case -under the top of his left hand.
A fast technical counter puncher catches him too clean and too often. I see a bruised , batterd and bled Vitali getting stopped in the late rounds.
