are we talking about old holyfield or young holyfield? the holyfield that fought douglas or the holyfield that fought tyson?
Holyfield had a chance to fight Sanders in 2007. Instead he lost his pen and decided to fight Donald for less money. And LOST. Hang on. Briggs, the guy that beat Foreman, who was listed as one of Holyfield's great wins? You guys are falling apart. The barrage of FACTS keeps coming. Oh, no, wait. No it doesn't. Could be.
None of it does. That was not its intention. Getting into the specifics and debating with a poster who is known for his utter cluelessness regarding the Klitschkos (or maybe just trolling) is not the object here.
Herol, me oul' son, haven't seen you for ages. How's your therapy going, well I hope ? Or are you still haunted by that bad ol' Welsh Dragon ? These processes take, time , lad, and you need to be patient. Good luck with it all, and give my best to Missus Gee. Cheers !
Another thought comes to mind. Vitali completely smashed Sam Peter after coming off a 4 year layoff. Peter, only the year before, had won two consecutive decisions over Toney. Toney, in 2003, had KTFO Holyfield. Yet Holyfield was levels above Vits? GTFO you clown.
"On Wednesday he will meet Pat English, lawyer for Main Events, Holyfield’s promotion company, in New York. “Pat called and asked about the possibility,” said Berman, who told English Sanders had broken his hand in his last fight and wouldn’t be able to box until October. English said that would be fine, as Holyfield needed the time to recover after beating Lou Savarese in Texas last weekend. Berman painted a win-win scenario for Sanders. “This is heaven-sent because if he beats Holyfield, he’s right back up there. And if he loses, he’ll pocket close to R2-million. The motivation’s there.” Berman is pushing hard. It’s Golden Gloves’ 30th anniversary year, and he knows the appeal of Holyfield, even at 44, will be substantial." Clinton Van Der Berg Published:Jul 08, 2007 /Suntimes.co.za ^ You can get the above off Pressreader.com I got the dates wrong on Holyfield losing to Donald. That was in 2004. In 2007 he lost to Ibragimov. He still didn't fight Sanders though.
The discussion of a possible match-up between Holyfield and Sanders when both were 137 years old has nothing to do with this thread and you know it.
I'm not claiming any credit for the great Welsh/Italian pugilist. I'm just trying to offer Herol some comfort. He suffers from a serious obsession with Joe. ( Word is, he may have caught Calzaghe giving Missus Gee an even better licking than he put on Lacey, only in a very different way, if you catch my drift. ) At any rate, Herol had a bit of a mental meltdown after that, and took to every thread on ESB to vent his rage / frustration / impotence / indignation. In threads related to Japanese junior bantam weights, he manages to bring up Calzaghe ! I think he's getting treatment (counselling, group therapy, drugs etc) for his little problem. I look forward to the day he is cured and capable of sane and rational posting again.
As you say, four year injury lay off, came back and was still super dominant. Hoyfield does not stop peak Vitali and he has no chance of a points win. Nobody in the history of the sport stops Vitali unless it's with dark arts like Lewis.
old holyfield. just 2 words to destroy your argument. the same two words as in my last post. but I am curious - why did you destroy your new argument with the same failure that has already been pointed out to you? are you trying to set up a hatrick of fails?
why you claiming that calzaghe is a child ******? my g/f would have been underage for joe at the time I started posting about him years ago. I believe this kind of peedoe insinuation you just made is also against forum rules. Good luck with avoiding a ban. Caltard self destructs once again, QED once again, and no way to dig yourself out of that one.
