The Holyfield that beat Rahman would have been a good opponent for Vitali. Evander is going to take some serious punishment but he could make things very ugly on the inside. I think Ruiz at this time would pose similar problems for the older brother.

How about a time when Holyfield is slipping slightly and the Klitschko's are slightly green?

There are a few interesting possible permutations of that!

Sadly, Vitali might, because the WBC may choose to rank Holyfield after his next win... have you seen the current WBC top 20 heavyweight rankings? They're quite horrible:

    Tomasz Adamek (Poland)
    Chris Arreola (US)
    Alexander Dimitrenko (Germany) EBU
    Bermane Stiverne (Canada) SILVER/USNBC
    Denis Boytsov (Russia)
    Johnathon Banks (US) NABF
    Juan Carlos Gomez (Cuba)
    Chauncy Welliver (US) AMERICA/ABCO
    Ray Austin (US)
    Alexander Povetkin (Russia)
    Cedric Boswell (US) LATINO
    Eric Molina (US)
    Mariusz Wach (Poland) BALTIC
    Robert Helenius (Finland)
    Kubrat Pulev (Bulgaria)
    Kevin Johnson (US)
    Luis Ortiz (Cuba) FECARBOX
    David Rodriguez (US) FECOMBOX
    Hasim Rahman (US)
    Francesco Pianeta (Italy)

    How so?

I'm not even going to address the other point. I mean, what's Foreman without Frazier. Liston without Patterson? Those two Tyson wins are huge to his record and achievements, and rightfully so. Turns out I addressed it.

Holyfiled is 1-2 vs. Bowe, and on a fair score card 0-2 vs Lewis. So he is 1-4 vs. Skilled Super heavies. Slightly past or past his best in this thread he isn't beating either Klitschko brother.

The second Tyson win is nothing to brag about as it is a DQ win, and Holyfield used his normal billy goat tactics to head butt Tyson early. Tyson snapped and disgraced himself with biting.

PS: Foreman is plenty without Frazier. Liston is plenty without Patterson.

    Interesting comments there regarding Holyfield
Its funny how his losses came against Bowe, Moorer and Lewis (all prime) and his best wins were Foreman, Holmes, Mercer, and Tyson and fat bowe (x2)

Im a Holyfield fan, soemtimes i think hes great, other times i feel hes overrated

The Klits couldnt stay back and box. They would be forced to fight a lot and Holyfield would drown them in the later rounds. Noone was able to stay back and box Holyfield and beat him, you had to have the ability to mix it up and Klits are one dimensional boxers who have no fighting ability. Holyfield KO's both in the later rounds.

Wlad would probably get his glass jaw shattered by a headbutt.

Holyfield would beat the Klits, because neither of them like pressure. During the Chisora fight it seemed to me that VK was looking to quit, he had that look on his face.

Holyfield would bring the heat and im not sure the Klits would be able to take it.

You cant really compare them to Bowe because Bowe was a great infighter

Both K-brothers would have owned Holyfield post Lewis.

In fact, the prime Holyfield had many un-even performances. He was beaten by Moorer. An older Holmes managed to have his moments boxing Holyfield, and even managed to cut him. If it seems like Holy had trouble with jabbers, he in fact did. He was floored by Cooper and got the benefit of a long count, and beaten badly by Bowe the first time, and Ko'd in the thrid outing.

Holyfield barely edged Bowe in the re-match, but he had a huge edge in his corner, and a 17 minutes stoppage in the middle of the fight ( fan man ) which allowed an often gassed Holyfield time to refuel

Holy's record vs super heavies with skill ( Lewis and Bowe ) should read 1-4, and match he did win over Bowe was very, very close. I do not think Holyfield would defeat Vitlai in his prime, and Wlad is close to 50/50 depending on which Holyfield shows ups
