I REALLY hope Mike wins if he takes this fight, I think it will put him at ease mentally if he can beat Evander. He needs to hire a world class trainer for him to have any chance for a win.

    How about Floyd Mayweather SR.:admin

A guy he's already beaten twice.

If it were the 3rd in a trilogy where each had gone 1-1, I could MAYBE see it happening....maybe.

Holyfield might as well fight Riddick Bowe while he's at it.

Yep Hoylfield should of just said my time against tyson is over now i most focus on fighting true heavyweight contenders and become a champion again
that would of gained him some respect

Tyson should become a commentator or a trainer

Right on. Granted, Ibragimov was never really in danger of losing the fight, but Holyfield hung in there for 12 rounds and was in trouble only a few times. I should add that i thought Ibragimov could've probably taken him out if he was more aggressive, i was a bit disappointed that he held back.

But indeed... McBride beat Tyson. Probably Tyson will be strong for the first round, Holyfield will hold on and take, then grind Tyson down with 8 punches a round enroute to a 3rd round TKO.:D

Although he has great knowledge, commentating is a job that would require discipline, attending meetings. etc. Tyson has no discipline now. Can you honestly see him training fighters full time? Again, it requires patience, discipline, routine. Acting...c'mon!!

Given that Holy proved he was the better man, twice already, and also considering that Holy stays in fighting shape, and still actually fights, and Tyson has not kept in shape, or trained, and has not fought .................in years.......... If this were anyone other than the legendary Tyson, the fight would be laughed at, as too huge of a mismatch.........................but since it is Tyson, people will probably overlook the huge mismatch, and give Tyson yet another chance, as they know he probably still has that murderous power........or they hope he does. And they want to give him aother chance to land that one shot KO power, one more time...........even though the odds of him doing it are slim, if he does, it would be worth the gamble.

That is EXACTLY why this fight is STILL extremely marketable. Hardcore boxing fans might not like it, but I bet it outsells Klitschko-Ibragimov. :nod

This fight, if made, will get far more mainstream media attention than any recent fight except Mayweather's fights against Oscar and Hatton, and probably will be more talked about than those, frankly.

Exactly, I tried to explain this to Heavyrighthand, but he thinks that the Iggy/Wlad fights going to be huge. I know nobody besides myself thats watching it, go to the local bar and ask somebody whos watching the Wlad/Iggy fight, most of the them will say Wlad who? Heavyweights just dont appeal to the average guy now, but both Holyfield and Tyson do.:yep

Bingo. Let me just ask a question to those who doubt this - what's more likely to be played up prominently on ESPN Sportscenter, this fight, or Wlad-Iggy??

I think we ALL know the answer to that one.:yep

It wont even be close Zakman, I wouldnt be surprised if Tyson/Holyfield did twice as much as Iggy/Wlad. The Heavyweights now adays have less talent than the 90s and no personalities, I dont know if you watched this past "Friday night fights", but I couldnt even understand what the hell Iggy was trying to say when Brian Kenny was trying to interview him, his broken english was extremely hard to understand. I dont know, I guess I just miss the days when the average guy knew who the champ was, instead of people still thinking its Lewis.:-(
