There's a world outside of America too. In Germany and Eastern Europe, Klitschko and Ibragimov are much more popular. That said, Tyson/Holyfield III will of course be huge because 95% of the people don't really realise the extend to how shot either is (particularly Tyson), and of course Tyson sells.... let alone the controversy of the bite fight. It would be a huge disappointment and make boxing look bad when Tyson basically stops fighting after the first and Holyfields stays at a steady pace of 10 punches and 3 headbutts a round, with Tyson quitting on his stool "I'm too old for this" between the 3rd and 4th. I would be lying if i said it didn't gain my interest, but i'm pretty sure it will be a disappointment either way. It should be on free TV, not PPV.
Yeah, it'll be forever featured on ESPN superbouts on a double bill with Ali-Wepner. Can't wait for that. :good
The upcoming Feb unification fight will be huge in Europe and is still selling well at MSG here in the US. But you can't compare this supposed TYson Holy fight to the current Iggy Wlad fight, cause Tyson and Holyfield are throwbacks to the golden era of heavyweight boxing, and Wlad and Ibragmiov are just now STARTING to unfiy the titles, after 8 loooong years of having no champion. Their fight is but the first step towards getting things back on track. Not a fair comparison, at all, given the circumstances.
