    Holyfield about Klitschko brothers decision-

“If that's what they choose to do then that's what they choose to do, everyone has their own opinion as to what is important to them,”

Holyfield about paper belt champion Alexander Povetkin-

“I won’t consider any eliminators, I just want to fight for the title,”

    Your thoughts?

He deserves it more than Rahman.

I am not saying i wan't to see him fight Povetkin but it just goes to show how much of a joke Povetkin v Rahman is.

Crazy as it sounds, I think he has a legitimate shot against Povetkin, maybe 35% to win. IMO holy won't stop until someone like Wlad puts him in the hospital.

Holy and Roy Jones are staging a match race down the path of self destruction.

current Evander would lose to an in-shape Povetkin

prime Evander and Povetkin shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence

People are seriously underestimating Povetkin if they think Holy has a chance. He has a chance of brain damage, that's about it

He doesn't want to fight an eliminator because he doesn't have a very good chance of winning that eliminator any more

Eh, six of one, half a dozen of the other...

Rahman has more of a chance to take out the trash than Holyfield does.

At least the Rock has the power to hurt Povetkin (since Huck did, multiple times).

Don't be fooled by Evander keeping himself in relatively fit physical condition for his age. He isn't stopping Povetkin or anybody in the top 30.

Neither of these geezers has the WR to beat Povetkin on points, even on an off night.

If Holyfield wants to carry on boxing that's up to him.
But he should have to earn a shot.

I've seen the fights he had in 2011.
He was lucky not to be ruled a TKO loser to Sherman Williams, who was robbed with some bull**** NC.
And Holyfield's last fight - May 2011 - was against an old man who had been retired for 9 years.

In other words, Holyfield has reached rock bottom now.
He prime was 20 or 25 years ago.
He was clearly washed-up 10 or 12 years ago.
Now he's not even a shell, he's just a faint ghost.
