holy getting ornery in his older age. he says he wants title shots, no eliminators...? his last two fights were against sherman williams and long retired nielson (and semi retired botha before that). and wasn't he supposed to do an exhibition with mercer? in that context, his statements don't even make sense. he won't take eliminators but he will fight those guys? if this seems credible to him, he must really be losing his marbles. all that said, his recent comp as shoddy as it is is worlds better than rahman's

What about Holyfield and Roy fight? Winner gets Povetkin, loser retires.

Just no. But the sad thing is that Holy would probably have had a chance some years ago (I'm talking about the Holyfield who lost to Toney or the one who beat Valuev)

 

if Sherman Williams or whatever his name is TKOed Holyfield in 2 round, then Povetkin will TKO him 5 seconds. Just bum rush him and ref will save the geezer.

 

Povetkin's career is a punchline to any joke in boxing.

Guys like him, Korobov,.... embarrassments to the sport.
My only interest in them is if they know how lowly people think of their resumes. How hard it is to take them serious.


Povetkin has to know that this fight with Rahman is obnoxious. His fight with Huck was competitive but it shouldn't have been. Huck's a cruiserweight who gave Povetkin fits.

I would be very happy if Rahman could take Povetkin out in that fight.

Let Evander fight for teh title since he was robbed against Valuev and deserves a shot at the same in the hands of Alexander Povetkin in the meantime. Holyfield is no Boswell and Povetkin is not gonna face either of the Klitschkos to my knowledge.
