Evander Holyfields Style

He was pretty textbook, in my opinion. He could be classified as a boxer-puncher, I guess, but I wouldn't really classify him as that.

 

I'd say boxer/puncher
But he could also be a brawler

 

He was both....

 

Impregnator.

 

Boxer-puncher who liked brawling too much.

 

Aggressive boxer-puncher who used footwork more than upperbody movement to set up his counters

Favoured combinations over single shots & was a genuine 2 handed puncher with good balance & variety

Defensively not too good but blessed with insane toughness & a fierce combative nature

Not a dirty fighter but he was well versed in boxing's dark arts & couldn't be bullied, if anyone tried to rough up Holy he was able to respond in kind

 

When did Holyfield land , let alone threw a right hand?
I consider him a 1 handed fighter .

I consider him a brawler 2 , and like almost every other brawler he had some boxing and counter punching ability , but he was a brawler 1st&4most

 

We try to label boxers in easy categories. Holyfield was Holyfield, a boxer that like any other did some things well and some not so well.
