Boxer-puncher who had the mentality of a brawler. He had very good hand speed, lateral and great combination punching, didn't have one punch knockout power, but enough to hurt guy who who he hit clean. He was a little too aggressive for his own good at times though, and traded when he should of boxed, its like whenever he got hurt his gameplan would go out the window for a time, and he'd slug. Great to watch though.
You can't put a guy like Holyfield in a box with labels because at his best he does so many things so well. Technically perfect, punch perfect counter puncher, great pressure, great left hooker and could fight on the backfoot when necessary Barrera's a level or 2 below Holyfield
Evander Holyfield was a fantastic boxer. There really wasn't anything he couldn't do, but he preferred his offense, and preferred to charge hard and make it ugly. He liked to fight. He was a stellar technician, though. Hard worker when he was motivated, never got out of shape, great guy to be around.
Holy was definitely a boxer puncher. Thats why they call them that, because they can box and brawl. Holy was a complete fighter, who preferred to slug rather than box.
