He had only been a pro for a couple of years,so although I wouldn't have it at #1,it's up there.Qawi was a tough ****er. I'm going to try and watch it over the weekend.I'm sure it's rated the best fight ever at cruiser.huh)
Qawi was a great fighter no doubt. But Bowe, Moorer and Tyson were better.. But of course it was very early in Evander's career
Never said they weren't. Evander has such a stout resume that it's actually difficult to cut a definitive top five.
1. Bowe II 2. Tyson 3. Moorer II 4. Qawi I 5. Holmes I actually rate the Holmes victory a little higher than the Foreman one, though there's not much in it. He has a lot of good victories, so it was hard to narrow it down.
Foreman probably gets the edge over Holmes win just for the simple fact that George actually went on to win the title three years later, regardless of the fact that there wasn't an easier chin to crack and he hadn't earned another title shot. He had noticably more 'hop' in his step in 1991. For him.
Nobody has the Mercer win in there. Holyfield was coming off a long layoff and the heart scare and fought an in-shape Mercer - 224 I think he was - and became the first guy to knock him down. Great win.
