i think holyfield will win by a close decision. as far as brain damage it has never been proven and it is his right to fight if someone doesnt like it they should not watch and mind their own business. if you dont agree dont watch but let the man live his dream as long as he passes the medical tests.
Guys for starters to the first response, no i have not just joined here to post this and wind people up its my honest opinion and it seems that alot agree with me. When Vander fought Savarese it was a bloody nightmare, he looked about as good as Savarese in terms of boxing ability. Vander looked in good shape in the fight but lets face it, that doesnt mean his reflexes havent long left him. What im trying to get at is that Holyfield looked only marginally better than Savarese in that fight and had sweet FA to offer after round 7. Would you tip Savarese to beat Iggy?? no you would say he would be getting KTFO or being on the end of an absolute hiding. Thats whats going to happen to Evander, BUT i can see him being pounded anytime after round 5 against somebody in the current top crop who wont be as poor as a Savarese and will get to work on him alot earlier draining him before you even see round 8,9 or 10. Holyfield is getting stopped or knocked out.
unless?....let's be real about this, if evan fields is involved, headbutts and steroids are a certainty
Ibragimov is very open when he throws his left hand as he throws it from low to high – any good counter puncher will nail him, as soon as Ibragimov lands left his opponent should fire straight back. When Ibragimov gets tired his guard goes to ****. This means he better be training his arse off for this fight and getting the right technical advice. If he covers these bases then he wins, if not then Holyfield has some chance though not great
I cant believe people are picking Holyfield, based on what? His victory over Jeremy Bates ? or maybe Fres Oquendo? or Vinny Madalone or Lou Savarese. This is an easy fight to predict. The result will be the same as Byrd Holyfield. Sultan will school him, Evander will win 2 or 3 rounds max.
maddalone's nothing special (but he's tough and strong), but holy looked really sharp and had plenty of pop in that fight. evan fields must've placed the right orders over the past couple of years.
i'd like to see sultan fight fres, fres is no joke and that would be a fight. what performance are you rating sultan on?? briggs or austin???
Briggs and Austin are much much better than Madalone or Savarese. Austin is on the level of Larry Donald, they fought to a draw yet Larry Donald completly schooled Holyfield and it wasnt just bad stylistic matchup for Holyfield, Donald had faster hands and so does Ibragimov. Fres Oquendo nowadays is a joke.
Donald caused Holyfield problems because he has slick skills and movement. Sultan has quite fast hands, but he will stand in front of Holyfield and I can't help but think that he will be slowly ground down. If he drops his hands then Holyfield's hook will cause him plenty of problems.
I know it's crazy but I might even go as far to say that the Savarese that Holyfield fought would have probably beaten the Briggs that Iggy fought.
whatever fres is a 'joke' in your opnion presumably b/c he lost to holyfield. fres was what 33 when he fought evander and looked about the same as when he was getting robbed in hw title fights and beating solid comp.
